Aali Kali: ‘The Peter North of Milk’

LOS ANGELES—Aali Kali went to Hawaii in 2016 in search of a deeper understanding of herself, living on farms and dancing with her neighbors every week. While she was there she watched a goat give birth, made feta cheese, learned the fundamentals of beekeeping and became a mother, too. Now the so-called “Peter North of Milk” tells AVN she’s ready to focus on her girl/girl porn career. “I just came back from living in Hawaii for two years,” says the 24-year-old Kali, who debuted in adult in 2013 but did only occasional solo scenes for ATK for the majority of her career. “Somebody I met traveling told me there was this dancing. Like all these people live together and dance together a couple a times a week. She was telling me this story of how she was dancing and they threw glitter at her and it was just this really spiritual experience. And I was like, ‘I want to go where there’s dancing and glitter.’ “So I went and it was so beautiful. And I got pregnant, so I had a baby there.” The native of Nevada says she was “work trading” and “living off the land” while in Pahoa, a “hippie town” on the big island of Hawaii that covers about 2.3 square miles with a population of less than 1000. “So I would just live on people’s farms because I really wanted to learn how to be a beekeeper. I was staying with an apiarist—that means beekeeper—and learning how to take care of bees,” Kali explains. “Then I lived on a goat farm because I love goats. I wasn’t working. I was just kind of exploring myself and other things that I’m passionate about.” Her interest in bees started to grow as she read about the harmful effects that pesticides have on the environment. “When the bees die we’re all gonna die because there’s not going to be anything to pollinate our food,” Kali says. “I was walking home one day and I saw this bee—it was kind of alive still but it was on the ground and I tried to save it. But it died. And I was like I’m really passionate about this cause and I really want to learn how to take care of them—and be part of the change.” The beekeeper called what she did “instinctual beekeeping,” according to Kali. “She lived on an organic farm so they all were healthy and happy,” Kali continues. “I got the gist of how to do it and I did it one time. I came there to learn that but then she just ended up having us build her house and stuff. So it wasn’t the best situation. But I learned that I really like bees and when I have my own property one day I’ll have bees.” She adds, “I’m a conscious being. I’m a hippie at my heart. I look like this but I’m usually like furry with armpit hair and no makeup and dancing naked at the beach with my friends.” Kali says when she lived on the goat farm she learned how to milk the goats. “And I got to be a doula. I was there when one of the goats gave birth in the middle of the night and I got to see some goats be born,” she says. “I just love goats and bees so it was really cool that I got to explore that side of myself.” She even practiced making goat cheese. “It’s fun. I learned how to make feta—not any hard cheeses,” Kali reveals. But in tiny Paloa, where the health food store is the center of the social scene, it’s dancing to electronic music in an open-air pavilion that brings the community together every Sunday morning.  “There’s no talking and everyone just dances free—it’s called ecstatic dance,” Kali says. “I cry when I’m there because it’s so happy and you’re so connected with all the people that you go to the grocery store and see. It’s like oh, I pass by you during the week and now I’m seeing you go crazy. You’re allowed to make noises, but no talking. It’s really primal.” Life on the big island of Hawaii is “every man for himself,” Kali says. “It’s kind of like a third-world country. It’s really funny,” she jokes. “I love it there. It’s my home but there’s no sex work there so I’m just always itching to come back and work.” In October Kali went “mainstream” with her porn, doing her first and only boy/girl scene so far—a session with Damon Dice for Naughty America’s My Friend’s Hot Girl series. This year she also paired off with Carter Cruise for AllGirlMassage and recently did a scene for CherryPimps. With 20-something scenes on her resume, Kali decided to relocate to California full time—self-booking only for girl/girl work. Lactating is her specialty. “Which is so fun,” Kali says. “FTVGirls found me on Twitter and then [director StillsbyAlan] from Girlsway saw my stuff and he said, ‘I want to do a Girlsway scene.’ That scene that I did with Abella [Danger] is like the fifth highest rated scene of all time for Girlsway and it’s the most up-voted scene of the year for the whole site.” Kali in late June also performed a “double milk” scene with Zoey Foxx in which they both lactated. “Which was even crazier,” Kali says. “It was so fun. I love it. It sprays everywhere. I got called The Peter North of Milk.” The performer says she started lactating when she had her daughter. “I think if I took hormones or something I could probably get it to go but it’s because I gave birth, you know. If you don’t use it you lose it,” Kali says. “So if I was not feeding my baby any more I would dry up.” She decided to recommit to porn after reading the book, You Are a Badass: How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life. “The only thing that was holding me back really was what my dad thought of me,” Kali reasons. “And I was like you know what, I don’t have a relationship with my dad anyways because of what I’ve already done in porn and it’s not going to get any better any time soon, so I might as well just follow my dreams and follow my heart before I’m old. “Like, I’m already 45 in porn years.” Kali also is almost done writing her own book titled Memwhoreries.  “It’s about being really repressed sexually,” Kali reveals. “… It’s about all the adventures I went on after I accepted my sexuality and just had a lot of fun. Just all my crazy sex stories and a little bit of sadness from my childhood and a little bit of sadness from adulthood, too. Mostly it’s funny and just the ridiculous situations that I’ve gotten myself into.” To book Aali, contact her at [email protected]. Photos by Rick Garcia/IndustrybyRick
