Studio 20 Examines 'Love & Camming'

LOS ANGELES—Live cam franchise Studio20 recently asked its models a question that many often wonder: Do you believe in love while you cam? According to Studio20, most cam models maintain a five days a week, 8-10 hours a day schedule; and some work during the night, so that doesn’t leave that much time for love, either finding it or keeping it. So the Romania-based company asked its #girlsfromstudio20 how they feel about it and how can they have a healthy relationship or build one during their work on cam? They also asked the girls about how hard it is to find a significant other that understands what you do. Madelene Ray, AW Awards winner of the Best Newcomer honor, remarked, “I think people should understand the limit between fantasy and real life." "Of course, I look in a different way in real life than I do on LiveJasmin," Ray said. "In my real life, I don’t wear that much makeup and I have a boring life actually, not a lot is happening. Recently, I found out that I have a stalker that follows me, takes videos of me and I must admit that that creeps me out. I’m single now. I do well getting love from my members and fans, but I do think that I’ll need to get back on the dating horse one day. Having someone stalk me doesn’t help with that. Being a cam girl is not just a job for me. I do believe in creating virtual relationships with members but not real life ones. I have a massive crush on Justin Bieber but I’d hate dating him in real life. I don’t want to ruin my fantasy of him.” Webstar award winner Megan Kroft said, “I tried having boyfriends but it all ended up the same. It’s some kind of a pattern here. It started out good; they seemed to be OK with my job, with the attention men gave me and with my working hours. That quickly turned into jealousy and reproach. You know what they say—that every man wants a woman that is wanted by many until he actually has one. It’s the same for us cam models. It’s hard enough to find a man that is actually OK in real life, even harder when you’re doing this job.” Cam girls and boys are professionals when it comes to their work and understand the difference between real life and fantasy, so they know how to approach each situation with control and poise, according to Studio20. “I think it takes a real man, a confident one, to understand how to be with a cam model," said Anyssa Bayron. "It might look easy but it’s actually not. There are members who understand that we’re there not for the money, but to also meet new people, to offer a service, to be their sexy therapists. But there’s always that one that goes crazy. We are kind of public people. We understood that and it did take us some time to get used to it. It’s not fair to ask the same from someone who you just met. That’s why I’m saying that the dating world out there is really harsh. Why would we all be on cam then? I have been a cam girl for a few years now and I haven’t still figured out how I can actually talk to a man in real life.”  Pictured: Anyssa Bayron
