AVN Show Debuts Workshop Program for AEE, ANE Attendees

CHATSWORTH, Calif.—In an effort to give even more value to B2B attendees of the AVN Show, AVN Media Network is adding a Workshop Program. The Workshop Program will feature various types of presentations—roundtable discussions, panel presentations, question-and-answer sessions and more—and will cover a variety of topics more in-depth than a traditional seminar. Workshops are targeted toward trade attendees for both the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo and the AVN Novelty Expo. "I am ecstatic to be one of the first workshop presenters at the AVN Show!” said Ashley Manta, the CannaSexual, who will present the workshop “Romancing the Stoned: Cannabis and the Adult Retail Space. “My mission is to spark conversations and increase awareness about the intersection of cannabis and sexuality and I appreciate the opportunity to do it at one of the most well-respected conferences in the adult industry!" Other presentations during the inaugural Workshop Program for the AVN Show include Making Great Specialty Content (hosted by Glenn King), Stars of Plus Size Porn (hosted by Courtney Trouble) and the AVN Show launch of the book Vibrator Nation: How Feminist Sex-Toy Stores Changed The Business of Pleasure by Lynn Comella, Ph.D. associate professor of gender and sexuality studies at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. “Pepper's Parties, Too is proud to be part of this inaugural workshop series, as this is a new project that we hope to continue for many years,” said Kathi and James Pepper, who will host the workshop Relationships Through the Ages. Other topics include Wikipedia and Your Brand, Legalities of Content Production, and presentations by the Free Speech Coalition and the Adult Performer Advocacy Committee. Workshops will take place in the seminar room 1A, next to the elevator bank in Paradise Tower at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas. The Workshop Program is set for Wednesday, Jan. 24, through Friday, Jan. 26. For a complete list of topics, times and dates, visit NoveltyExpo.com or AdultEntertainmentExpo.com.
