‘Vibrator Nation’ Author Lynn Comella Continues Book Tour

LAS VEGAS—Lynn Comella, the author of the Vibrator Nation: How Feminist Sex-Toy Stores Changed the Business of Pleasure, is in Los Angeles today to continue her multi-city book tour. Comella also has stops in San Francisco, Seattle and more planned in October. Vibrator Nation tells the story of how feminists helped ignite the sex-toy revolution. In the 1970s, a group of pioneering entrepreneurs launched sex-toy stores Eve’s Garden and Good Vibrations as both commercial enterprises and hubs for educational and community resources. Later came a second wave, with Babeland and other shops. Heralded as an “essential read” by AVN pleasure product editor Sherri L. Shaulis, Vibrator Nation is the first book to tell the fascinating history of how these stores raised sexual consciousness, redefined the adult industry, and changed women's lives.  Since its release in early September, Vibrator Nation has been featured in Rolling Stone, The Atlantic, Cosmo, and other media outlets. On her book tour, Comella brings the colorful cast of characters and businesses that pepper her book to life.
