PinkLabel.tv Debuts 'The Training of Poe'

LOS ANGELES—Pink and White Productions on Wednesday announced the PinkLabel.tv debut of acclaimed indie adult documentary, The Training of Poe, directed by Bella Vendetta and starring Chelsea Poe, with camera work by Heartless Productions and music by Autumn Fever. The trans lesbian BDSM lifestyle documentary presents an exploration of 'slave training' with video diaries, negotiation and safe words, and various training regimes including a standout scene shot in a New England river.  The Training of Poe is a welcomed title for PinkLabel.tv, created by Pink and White Productions director Shine Louise Houston to provide VOD distribution and other resources especially for adult titles excluded from traditional porn markets. "I am so thrilled to have PinkLabel.TV carry this film," says Bella Vendetta. "It's been hard to find a home for the film because it exists in a realm somewhere in-between documentary and pornography. For the documentary film crowd, it has a bit too much sexuality and borders porn, but folks who watch it assuming a traditional porn end up surprised that it's shot as a documentary."  For PinkLabel.tv, being "between genres" isn't an issue; it is an asset. In fact, the site already boasts an adult documentary category. Vendetta explains, "'Queer porn' folks in general have a much more broad approach to erotic video content and what gets us off can often educate us at the same time."  A leather Dominatrix with more than 15 years experience in the "old guard" traditions under her straps, Vendetta has shot a lot of fetish content. Still, she laments, "In my career I am always encouraged to 'amp it up'—to act more 'porny' or dress a certain type of way and perform specific fetishes, etc. I have never had the chance to film what an actual slave training looks like under my guidance... until now!"  The reception has been overwhelmingly positive, according to Pink and White, with screenings at festivals, colleges, and conferences, and reviews on Huffington Post and lifestyle BDSM publications.
