Tony T., Ramon Nomar File Defamation Suit in Response to Nikki Benz Allegations

LOS ANGELES—Director Tony T. and performer Ramon Nomar filed suit Wednesday in Los Angeles Superior Court for defamation stemming from allegations adult star Nikki Benz made via social media starting December 20 that she had been sexually assaulted during a December 19 shoot for Brazzers directed by T. and co-starring Nomar. The suit, according to MyNewsLA.com, seeks unspecified damages for the two plaintiffs, who are being represented by adult industry attorney Karen Tynan. In the suit, T. and Nomar maintain that Benz's allegations were untrue and that both "sustained shame, mortification and hurt feelings" as a result of them. Brazzers and parent company MindGeek USA are also named as defendants in the suit, which additionally charges intentional infliction of emotional distress and interference with economic advantage for Tony T. Tynan presented a viewing Wednesday night for select industry members of the "raw footage" from the December 19 shoot in question, for the purpose of "transparency" and "the opportunity to draw your own conclusions" about what took place during said shoot. Of particular note in the footage was a series of standard-issue questions posed to both Nomar and Benz following the sex scene as to whether they were there of their own volition, whether they had fun, and whether they would do it again. In answer to the third question, Benz initially said "no," but then the footage cut and she was asked the same series of questions again and this time said "yes" to the third question. Both times, she answered "yes" to the first two questions. A production manager who ran the footage from a laptop for the assembled group—but said he was not present during the shoot—commented that he believed Brazzers requires a "yes" answer to all three questions in order for a scene to be released. He also noted that the scene had been titled "Nikki Goes Bananas" and was intended to portray Benz "pushing her limits," which he said had been discussed with her the day before the shoot and immediately beforehand, and that she had a clear understanding she could stop the scene at any time if she was uncomfortable with anything taking place. Brazzers released multiple statements following Benz's allegations including that "This particular type of scene would never meet our standards and would be rejected immediately," and "It appears that some of the alleged conduct could have occurred, and we took immediate measure to sever our relationship with the producer in question. Not only have we terminated all existing professional engagements with the producer, but any possibility for any future endeavors with this producer have also been quashed." The company declined to comment about the suit. Benz likewise told AVN she has no comment at this time.
