Italian Actress To Reward 'No' Voters With BJs

LOS ANGELES—There's been so much press about the American elections recently that many have not paid attention to what political events have been happening in other countries—but L.A.-based Italian actress Paola Saulino has, and like some of her American counterparts, she's offering BJs to Italian voters who cast ballots against changes to their country's Constitution last Sunday. For those who haven't been following the situation in Italy, it seems that the country's federalists, including Prime Minister Matteo Renzi, had put forth ballot measures that, according to a New York Times account, "would streamline Italy’s cumbersome legislative process by eliminating two-thirds of the Senate and stripping regions of power over crucial issues like transportation, energy and infrastructure." According to an article in U.K.'s The Sun, the measure would be "the most extensive constitutional reform in Italy since the end of the monarchy." But while both houses of Parliament supported the changes, the proposals didn't go over really well with the electorate, which turned out in droves to vote them down. The "No" votes were seen as a referendum on Renzi himself, who has been seen by many as arrogant, and as having failed to stimulate economic growth and make jobs available for Italy's legion of unemployed. In the wake of the Renzi proposals' overwhelming defeat, Renzi resigned his post—and impelled Saulino to create her "Pompa Tour." "Those who say NO to the referendum will be waiting in delight for my 'Pompa Tour' in January for what I promised to those who voted no," Saulino recently wrote on her Facebook page. "I am a woman of my word." See, in Italian, the word "pompa" means, literally, "pump"—but like many words, it's taken on a secondary meaning as well: blowjob or handjob. Saulino's tour will visit most of Italy's major cities, including Rome, Bologna, Verona, Milan, Naples and Palermo, and supposedly, those who voted "No" in the election will be sent a booking form which must be completed and returned to Saulino before the tour begins on Jan. 7. (How Saulino will be getting the names of the "No" voters to whom to send the forms hasn't been disclosed—nor how the 27-year-old brunette expects to service the possibly millions of voters who are eligible for the servicing.) Saulino, who's not listed in the Internet Adult Film Database, isn't the first non-porn star to make such an offer, though the other one that's been getting a bit of publicity apparently wasn't a serious one. At a performance by comedienne Amy Schumer, singer/media personality Madonna, in introducing Schumer to a Madison Square Garden crowd in mid-October, reportedly offered, "If you vote for Hillary Clinton, I will give you a blowjob. OK? I’m really good. I’m not a douche, and I’m not a tool. I take my time, I have a lot of eye contact, and I do swallow." Elections are getting GOOD, aren't they?
