NO ON 60 Launches First Video Aimed at Spanish Speaking Voters

LOS ANGELES, CA No on Proposition 60 released its first campaign video targeting Spanish-language voters today, aimed at educating more Californians about the controversial measure.

Proposition 60 would allow any California resident to sue those involved with an adult film production, including performers, if a condom isnt visible. The proposition has been opposed by over thirty state newspapers, including La Opinin, which published its editorial on Sunday.

The video details the problems the law would cause for adult film workers, and the broad opposition it faces from major newspapers throughout the state.

The editorial board of La Opinin, the countrys largest Spanish-language daily, joined the opposition saying the enforcement mechanism sounds like vigilantism and can easily open actors to abuse and harassment through excessive litigation (Esta clusula de la medida suena a vigilantismo y puede fcilmente prestarse a abusos y a hostigamiento de los actores por parte de los demandantes y a excesivos litigios.)

Proposition 60 has been opposed by the California Democratic Party, the California Republican Party, the California Libertarian Party, and over fifty local and issue-based political clubs, as well as the states ten largest newspapers, and over one hundred HIV/AIDS organizations, medical societies and civil rights advocates. Thousands of performers have expressed their opposition to the measure on social media, and by reaching out to voters directly at campuses, farmers markets, political rallies and protests.

Recent polling has shown that support for Proposition 60 has fallen to just 40% as voters learn more about the controversial measure.

The video, which will first be promoted on social media, can be seen below.
