Fresh Faces: Sophia Grace

LOS ANGELES—Sophia Grace tells AVN her freak factor knows no bounds. “I think this year honestly has been my year of freakiness,” Grace admits. “I wish that getting into porn I was as freaky as I am now and as open and completely cool with the cameras and talking dirty and stuff. I feel like this year I’ve embraced it more.” That attitude adjustment shows in her growing number of scenes for several of the top studios that are finding out first-hand how the 20-year-old performer brings it. The former high school cheerleader, who debuted in February of last year, says what she loves about doing porn is “it’s taboo.” “I feel like it’s a form of art and you should be able to express yourself and that’s mainly the reason I got into it because I was a model beforehand and it kind of went hand and hand for me,” Grace explains. “And I think that doing something that everybody else kind of despises or just thinks wrong of I just personally like it even better. “I don’t care what anybody thinks about me, so…” She says she stopped caring what others think when she turned 18 and got out of a four-year relationship. “I had never fucked a girl in my life and then I had my first girl/girl experience and I was like, wow maybe I am a little freak and I just don’t know it,” Grace recalls. “And then I started modeling for High Times and Stoned Girls. And I did this ‘Naked Weed Report’ thing, where I’m just telling news about weed naked and stripping. And I was just like, wow, maybe this is who I am?” Grace says she “watched a ton of porn” before she got into the biz, but “I don’t masturbate because I can’t get myself off.” “I’ve never been able to do it. I’m a pleaser so I have to see someone else get off to get me off,” Grace reveals. “It’s not that I don’t know how to, but I need that. “When I was younger I would always watch girl/girl porn. Lesbian porn was my favorite thing, never really straight porn. But the thing is now that I’m in porn I prefer straight porn when I’m performing.  "I date a girl but I prefer to have dick on camera than pussy.” She watched a lot of Girlsway movies and Filly Films “because I just liked how organic it looked and they actually hired girls that liked girls.” “I wanted to see more raw, more natural. That’s really what I was into,” Grace adds. A native of Fort Mill, S.C., just outside Charlotte, N.C., Grace returned to porn in late February after a four-month hiatus when she obtained her real estate license in South Carolina. “I went back to South Carolina thinking I wanted to do real estate there and I was like man I miss porn and I want to move back to California. So now I’m in the process of getting it here,” Grace says. “I just missed my job too much. I thought I could live without it but I couldn’t.” But taking some time off from porn was a good thing, she adds. “I think it’s mostly because when you overdo yourself in porn your lifespan doesn’t last as long,” Grace reasons. “And I think that taking some time off made producers really want to work with me. As soon as I got back in I was booked up for like two months.” One of those bookings was with none other than Mick Blue for BAM Visions, a scene that she considered her best so far at the time of this interview in June. “It was a foot-fetish anal scene and I love anal,” Grace says. “It’s actually one of my favorite things in my personal life, so getting to bring that on set was great. “We tried different things. I didn’t know that I could ever handle a DP and he put a dildo in my pussy while he was fucking me. It was more real, because I had never done it before. So it was like the initial reaction of it being different and that turned me on a lot. So my performance was killer.” That scene, which is now available on DVD through BAM’s distributor Evil Angel, is in Mick Blue and Maestro Claudio’s Anal Footsies and marked her first time working with the two-time AVN Male Performer of the Year Blue. “I love him. I have no complaints. He’s so easy-going,” Grace continues. “He always make sure that you get off while he’s keeping you open to the camera and doing everything. A lot of performers, they’ll make sure you look good but they’ll forget about the concept of getting the girl off, too. But if you get the girl off it honestly makes the performance better because it’s realer.” Grace, who is of Italian descent, has also worked for Evil Angel producer/director Mike Adriano, LeWood Productions, Hustler, New Sensations, Porn Pros, Digital Playground, Reality Kings, Bang Bros, Fetish Network, Kink and more. Her scene with Adriano can be seen in Deep Anal Action 2. “It was just a lot of butt stuff. It was intense,” Grace recalls. “A lot of spit. His stuff was just different, very sloppy and all over the place. I loved it. I was turned on the whole time. I produced a really good scene. The pictures came out really good. He’s one of my favorites to work with. Between him, Mick Blue and Chad White.” Grace has done multiple scenes with White, including a boy/girl/girl anal for Naughty America VR. “That was a good scene because I’ve never had anal with him before so it was definitely interesting. But I definitely have to say that one of my favorite scenes was last year for Reality Kings with him. It was a boy/girl/girl and I was the more dominant girl out of us two and I took charge a lot and it came out really good.” An avid snowboarder since she was 10 who loves the outdoors, the ATMLA model says her ultimate goal is to own a boutique that features one-of-a-kind pieces. “I really just want to travel the world. I want to see different cultures because I’m all about opening my mind, so I want to go to different countries, like third-world countries in particular, and go to places where people normally wouldn’t go and find underground designers who make amazing pieces but don’t have that opportunity to show it to the world because they don’t have the funds to do so,” Grace says. She also wants to include a “backstory” with each item. “People like to buy things with meanings as well,” Grace says, adding that she would like to donate a portion of her profits to charity. “Basically, I want to give back by making money. That’s like my life goal. I’m actually in the process right now of making my business plan and getting an LLC together because I want to open it in five to seven years.”
