Seized ISIS Computers Filled With ’80 Percent Pornography’

WASHINGTON, D.C.—A former Pentagon official claims the majority of files found on laptops seized from members of ISIS contain pornography. Lt. General Michael Flynn—the former chief of the Defense Intelligence Agency, the spying arm of the Pentagon—made the claim in the German newspaper Bild, which is serializing a book about his experiences as a senior intelligence officer in Afghanistan and Iraq in 2012 before taking over control of U.S. military intelligence in 2012. Flynn retired in 2014. “At one point we actually had determined that the material on the laptops was up to 80 percent pornography,” Flynn wrote. “These sick, psychopathic enemies were not only unimaginably hideous, but also treacherous and torn.” Flynn’s revelation is reminiscent of a claim by former London Mayor Boris Johnson, who once said jihadists were “literally wankers,” many of whom chose to join ISIS because they are “very badly adjusted in their relationships with women.” Flynn’s statements jibe with anecdotes about giant porn stashes found in the hideaway of Osama bin Laden. Conservative legal group Judicial Watch in June 2015 filed a Freedom of Information Act request with the Central Intelligence Agency for “All pornographic material collected during and/or after the U.S. military operation in Abbotabad, Pakistan, on or about May 1, 2011, that killed Osama bin Laden.” The CIA never responded to the request, so Judicial Watch filed a federal lawsuit. Media reports at the time described bin Laden’s porn stash as consisting of "modern, electronically recorded video" and being "fairly extensive."
