Kelly Shibari Named Mensa Adult Industry Track Coordinator 2016

SAN DIEGO, Calif.— The high IQ society Mensa has tapped Kelly Shibari to coordinate the inaugural adult industry track for this year’s Mensa Annual Gathering. The CEO of ThePRSMGroup will be moderating two panels on Saturday, July 2, at the Town and Country Resort and Convention Center in San Diego, California. “I’m so honored to be asked to coordinate the adult industry track for this year’s Annual Gathering,” said Kelly. “Bringing the industry to such a highly esteemed group of people, who are just as curious about the world and its many different and interesting facets as I am, should make the two panels lively and fun for all who attend.” The two adult industry panels for this year’s Annual Gathering are: Porn Performers & Parenting • Jeanne "Long Jeanne" Silver & daughter • Howie Gordon (formerly Richard Pacheco) & daughter State of the Adult Entertainment Industry • Aiden Starr • Ela Darling • Mark Kernes • Alec Helmy “Our members are constantly seeking knowledge about every topic, no matter how diverse or niche,” said 2016 Annual Gathering Chair LaRae Bakerink. “Our Speakers’ Committee believes Kelly is a great source of information regarding the topic of the adult entertainment industry, and are thrilled to have her coordinate this track for us.” Attendance for the adult industry track is limited to Mensans 18 and older; IDs will be required. A tradition since 1963, Mensa’s Annual Gathering has grown from a two-day meet-and-greet at the New York Belmont to a sprawling and diverse collection of programs, talks, games, and entertainment, typically spanning the July Fourth weekend in a different city every year. With more than 57,000 members, American Mensa is the largest national Mensa, operating under the auspices of Mensa International, Ltd. There are currently more than 100,000 members worldwide, and an estimated six million Americans are eligible for Mensa membership. Mensans come from all walks of life. Ranging in age from 2 to 106, they include engineers, homemakers, teachers, actors (including adult actors), athletes, students, and CEOs, and share one trait: high intelligence. To qualify for Mensa, all scored in the top 2 percent of the general population, on an accepted standardized intelligence test. Mensans have the opportunity to meet others with high IQs at local, regional, and national levels, attending entertaining, intellectually stimulating events, and exchange ideas with others through a variety of publications and its online Community. Mensans also work to help others in their community by volunteering for community-oriented activities and working with the Mensa Foundation.
