Trial Continues In Bunny Ranch Model Murder

Shock and outrage shook the world-famous legal brothel today in Carson City, Nevada as Bunny Ranch owner Dennis Hof and his working girls learned of news reports from Oklahoma City that their long-beloved co-worker, and HBO-TV Cathouse co-star, Brooke Phillips, had been murdered "execution-style"—forced to her knees before being shot in the head. The gruesome revelation came in the early stages of testimony at the so-called "HBO-Cathouse Murders" trial, where six people including reality-TV star and popular Bunny Ranch courtesan Phillips, who was pregnant at the time, were slaughtered in 2009 in a drug-related massacre. "The girls here are enraged, they are seething with anger. Everyone is buying airplane tickets to Oklahoma City right now. They're going out to demand justice for Brooke," said Bunny Ranch owner Hof, who promised he would be leading the charge to the sensational in-progress murder trial. "We knew Brooke's killing was grisly, but we didn't know just how horrific it was until we found out the details today. There's going to be a dozen gone-ballistic hookers on those courthouse steps shortly, and there's no telling what they will do." "They were hit. They were cut. They were stabbed. They were shot. And their bodies were set on fire," stated Assistant District Attorney Merydith Easter during opening statements at the trial of Denny Edward Phillips (no relation to Brooke) and Russell Lee Hogshooter, who each face six counts of first degree murder and one of conspiracy, according to NewsOK.com. Caressa Kisses, a Bunny Ranch working girl who was a close friend of Phillips, said she and her fellow "Bunnies" were inconsolable when they read of the last grim seconds of the ill-fated mother-to-be's life. "To have a girl like Brooke, who was the nicest, sweetest, most loving person you could ever meet, be murdered like that, it's beyond barbaric," said Caressa through tears. "I am so angry, and the girls here are so mortified, that we are going out there to the trial in Oklahoma City, to stand up for Brooke, to demand justice for Brooke, and see that these disgusting animals get what they deserve!" The exact date and time of the bordello group's arrival at the criminal proceedings has not yet been finalized. Two of four "Cathouse" killers have already pleaded guilty and are serving long prison terms for their roles in the killings. The other two accused gunmen are currently on trial, and face the death penalty if convicted. Because of the HBO-TV connection, the case has received worldwide media coverage, and the courthouse where the trial is taking place has been placed under 24-hour heavy security.
