Woodhull Freedom Foundation Names Mandy Farsace Director Of Sexual Freedom Summit

ALEXANDRA, Va.—Mandy Farsace has been named by the Woodhull Freedom Foundation the new director of Woodhull’s Sexual Freedom Summit.  “Mandy has been an invaluable part of the Summit’s operations,” said Ricci Levy, president and CEO of The Woodhull Freedom Foundation. “It is because of her things have run so smoothly for the past few years. Mandy is certainly the most qualified for the position, and we’re all thrilled to now call her Director.” Previously, Farsace served as volunteer coordinator and assistant to Levy. Now, she will will now have a hand in everything Summit-related, including coordinating and planning for the event year-round. Farsace joined Woodhull as the volunteer coordinator in February 2014. As coordinator, she made sure all presenters, volunteers, and attendees are in the right place at the right time at the annual Summit. She also assisted year-round with workshop selection, sponsor solicitation, and volunteer recruitment. In addition to her work with the Summit, Mandy helped with day-to-day operations at Woodhull, from coordinating donor acknowledgment to scheduling conference calls. "I have loved working as a part of the Sexual Freedom Summit team for the last three years, and am thrilled to be moving into the Director role,” said Farsace. “I look forward to continuing to make the Summit a place where all are welcomed to join us, in the fight for sexual freedom as a fundamental human right."  Slated for Aug 4-7 at the Hilton Mark Center in Alexandria, Va., Woodhull’s Sexual Freedom Summit is focused on sexual freedom as a fundamental human right in the U.S. Now in its seventh year, the focus of the Sexual Freedom Summit is the goal of the sexual freedom movement—global recognition of our fundamental human right to sexual freedom. The Summit is for everyone interested in sexual freedom—from activists, educators, students, attorneys and clinicians, to people who are simply curious about how to make the world a freer place for all.   From gender expression to reproductive justice, LGBT rights to polyamory, sex work to spirituality, and much more, the Summit welcomes attendees to bring ideas and concerns to the table, all within a human rights framework. The four-day schedule of institutes and workshops, roundtable discussions and sessions cover a gamut of topics, ranging from geriatric sexuality, abuse, sex education, religion, gender identities, mental health, condom use, policy trends, intellectual and developmental disabilities, consent, sex work and more.
