Judge Drops Brett Rossi's TRO Against Charlie Sheen

LOS ANGELES—Adult film star Brett Rossi's temporary restraining order against her ex-fiancee Charlie Sheen has been nullified by a judge. Rossi in late March obtained the TRO against Sheen on the heels of a RadarOnline.com report of an alleged audio recording of the HIV-positive actor threatening her. As a result, the Los Angeles Police Department opened a criminal investigation against Sheen that is still ongoing. Sheen's attorney Andrew Brettler told The Hollywood Reporter that Rossi was a no-show Thursday in court. She is feature dancing this weekend at the Pink Pony. In their opposition, Sheen's attorneys called the TRO a publicity stunt that was financially motivated due to her lawsuit against him that is on its way to arbitration, according to THR. "[Rossi] is banking on the fact that Sheen will pay her millions of dollars to avoid the negative publicity surrounding her outrageous claims," the opposition stated. "[Rossi] should not be rewarded for her abusive litigation tactics." Through her publicist Friday, Rossi said the TRO was vacated primarily due to her absence from the hearing. "She, unfortunately, had a contractual obligation she could not get out of," her publicist said in a statement. "It's not due to any argument from Charlie's side. The Judge did schedule a hearing on the permanent restraining order for May 18th. We look forward to presenting our evidence at that time. Charlie can hide behind his barking dog of an attorney all he likes, but that dog has no bite. He knows what he did and he is still the abusive, misogynistic, psycho he has always been." Rossi filed suit against Sheen in December, accusing the actor of assault and battery, emotional distress, false imprisonment and negligence. She also said that Sheen hid his HIV-positive status from her while engaging in unprotected sex with her. The actor responded with court documents asking that Rossi's suit be dismissed with prejudice, and now an arbitrator is deciding if the suit must be resolved in arbitration or sent back to a judge.   The performer's 11-month relationship with Sheen ended in October 2014. But after he went public with his HIV status on Nov. 17, 2015, and reneged on a settlement agreement with Rossi, she filed suit.  Rossi is in midst of a porn comeback after an extended hiatus.
