Bree Olson Starts GoFundMe Campaign to Assist With Rehab

LOS ANGELES—Bree Olson has launched a GoFundMe campaign to raise money for her to start an in-patient treatment program for her addiction to prescription drugs. "I have spent the last decade masking my pain and losing myself even more so as doctors prescribed me mountains of benzodiazapines to make me feel better," Olson said on her GoFundMe page. "I don't feel better. I've never felt worse. "I have been in outpatient therapy since the age of 18 as I've tried to fight this debilitating depression and anxiety. The benzodiazapines are highly addictive and even though I take them as prescribed, my mind and body are physically dependent on them." Olson's campaign, titled "A Path to Discovering Rachel," has a goal of $100,000. "It's time to take charge of my life again," she added. "I finally told someone I need help and as scary as it is, I need to remove myself from this life as much as possible to have a shot. The cost of three months in an in-patient treatment center that is best suited for me is an astounding $100,000. "I have researched this myself but also put a team of friends and family on it and we all still keep coming back to this particular facility that best meets my specific needs. I have health insurance that includes some behavioral health coverage but it is very limited to local treatment centers, and they are not equipped to help someone in my position." Olson, the 2008 AVN Best New Starlet who gained notoriety in 2011 as one of Charlie Sheen's so-called "goddesses," recently made national headlines when a video was released showing her crying and urging girls to avoid getting into porn. She has since made statements countering the tone and content of the video, saying on Twitter it "did not depict my story accurately at all." The video was released on the "Real Women Real Stories" YouTube channel.
