Girlfriends Films Dominates HotMovies.com Top 100 List for 2015

VALENCIA, Calif.—Girlfriends Films is rightfully proud of how popular its titles are on HotMovies.com, so the all-girl adult studio was eager to share the news that just over half of the top slots on the VOD site's "most watched" Top 100 list from 2015 were filled by Girlfriends Films movies. According to a report, in 2015 Girlfriends Films earned 52 of 100 top spots in total and claimed the Top 6 placements on the list. Founder and film director Dan O’Connell embraced the report. “I’m totally flattered to find out that Girlfriends Films’ titles made up half of the Hot Movies 2015 Top 100 list and that we have claimed top honors for the 8th straight year.” HotMovies.com content manager Daniel Loevy said, “We already know that Girlfriends Films has some of the most popular content that we have to offer to our users, but we were blown away when we realized that more than 50 of our top 100 viewed movies in 2015 were from Girlfriends.” The news comes on the heels of O’Connell’s win at the 2016 AVN Awards, where his long-running series Women Seeking Women once again was awarded Best All-Girl Series, making it the industry's most honored girl/girl series. Loevy added, “They have set the gold standard when it comes to all-girl porn. And with amazing titles like the final installment in the Road Queen series, Road Queen 35, just released on Hotmovies.com, we look forward to another great year with each new Girlfriends title that we add to the site.” “Being HotMovies’ most watched studio and ruling their Top 100 is a true, no-BS validation that comes from fans who want to watch our movies,” said O’Connell. “You can’t beat that as to proof that Girlfriends is No. 1.” The studio points to Girlfriends Films' position in the top three spots with episodes of the popular episodic Lesbian Seductions Older/Younger. In addition, Girlfriends accounted for a total of 8 out of the Top 10 and 16 out of the Top 20 movies on HotMovies.com. It's all welcome news to O’Connell. “I am responsible for making four movies a month, and I really put my heart into doing that, so it is especially gratifying.” According to the award-winning director, his most recent successes came out of personal adversity. “Following shoulder surgery in late 2015, I spent a month at home and used that time as a sabbatical, doing various things to make myself a better filmmaker. It was probably the first time in my adult life I wasn’t running into an office every day and focusing on too many issues all at once. Surprisingly, my creativity took a big jump and my 2016 work is the best I’ve ever done.” O'Connell won't be resting on any laurels, though. Girlfriends Films is off to a running start in 2016, booking some of the biggest names in the adult industry. O’Connell credits the studio's success to the talent behind the scenes, saying, “A lot of responsibility for the success of Girlfriends’ movies goes to our crew and performers. I really think that over the past year we’ve had the best group of performers that we’ve ever had.
