Natasha Vega Passes Away

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.—Adult performer and exotic dancer Natasha Vega died Thursday night in her home region of south Florida, according to reports that surfaced Friday morning on social media. She was 25. Though exact details concerning the cause of her death have not yet been released, multiple sources have reported that it was due to a drug overdose. Roommate Amber Yeisley posted the following on her Facebook page early Friday: "Now that her entire family has been notified it saddens me to let the world know that last night my roommate and one of my best friends Natasha Vega passed away. She had a heart of gold and a smile that would brighten any room. I will be making the arrangements for her memorial in south Florida. I will keep everybody updated. Love you vega. RIP." Exotic dancing trade journal Xcitement Magazine, which once featured Vega on its cover, also posted to Facebook, "It is with the saddest of hearts that we mourn the passing of Natasha Vega. Over the years we had the pleasure to work and party with her, to take many many photographs, to be part of her career, and most of all to enjoy her wonderful smile." Acquiantance Michael Jay, a Fort Lauderdale drug and alcohol counselor who previously worked for many years as a gentleman's club DJ, wrote on Facebook of Vega's passing, "She was a lost soul looking for help. She fought me tooth and nail but after a year she got it. She was doing great. She was fighting the battle. It wasn't easy for her. Addiction wasn't the only demon in her life but she battled. Last night she lost her war." Natasha Vega entered the industry in 2011 and shot 35 adult titles between then and 2015, according to IAFD.com. She was considerably more active on the dancing circuit, and earned a slew of accolades in that arena, including Miss Exotic Florida in 2012, Newcomer Entertainer of the Year at the same year's Exotic Dancer Awards, and Miss Nude Entertainer of the Year 2nd Runner Up at Nudes-a-Poppon' 2013. Vega was last represented for adult video work by OC Modeling, whose co-chief agent Anthony DeConinck told AVN, "I am deeply saddened, Natasha was a great person and will be missed."
