Braun's 'Batman v Superman' Rides Summer Out on Top

LOS ANGELES—It wouldn't be inaccurate to call sophomore Wicked Comix release Batman v Superman XXX: An Axel Braun Parody the adult movie of the summer. Having debuted June 10, the movie sits at number 1 on AVN's Top 150 Chart going into the waning days of the season, even as it continues to attract attention from mainstream and adult outlets alike. Sites including Uproxx.com, 411mania.com, io9.com, Cinema Blend and the UK's Mirror have all covered the movie, with praise coming in from the likes of AskMen.com, which wrote, "It looks better than the real one," and GeekyFreaky.com, whose Orion Metzger hailed, "The CGI and makeup were well above par for f*ck-flicks. ... The casting choices were entirely on point, Supergirl [Carter Cruise] and Harley [Quinn, Kleio Valentien] were perfect." GuyHut's Frank White wrote, "Wicked Pictures has put together an extremely impressive Batman vs Superman parody which features not only some of the best acting you'll come across, but the CGI and graphics involved in the production of the picture are second to none." On the adult media side, in addition to AVN's Editor's Choice review, XCritic's Don Houston noted, "Axel's appreciation for the comic books he grew up with shows right away in the screenplay he and co-writer Mark Logan put forth here," adding, "for anyone at all interested in seeing a superhero porn parody, good luck in finding anything better coming out anytime soon." AdultDVDTalk's Captain Jack applauded the movie as well, writing, "Another exceptional project from Axel Braun and his team at Wicked.
