Sunny Leone Named in Mumbai Obscenity Complaint

MUMBAI, India—The Hindustan Times reports that performer Sunny Leone has been named in an obscenity complaint registered by a social worker who claims that videos and photographs allegedly put up by Leone on a website “corrupt youngsters’ minds." The complainant searched out Leone on the internet and found "obscene" images on a website with Leone's name. Leone was booked in absentia under sections of the Indian Penal Code, the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act, and the Information Technology Act of 2000.  A cyber law expert told the Hindustani Times, “Indecent representation of women is a non-bailable offense, with a maximum imprisonment for five years.
