Karen Summer To Be Inducted Into XRCO Hall of Fame

CHATSWORTH, Calif.—Karen Summer, one of the original porn stars of the 1980s, made her comeback after a 20-year hiatus last year, and has not only made a big splash in the business that she so genuinely loves, it happens that the industry has reciprocated that love and respect as it has recognized her three times over with the most distinguished honors. Karen Summer is the first person in adult industry history to receive all three notable adult industry Hall of Fame Awards in one single year. Having been inducted into the Legends of Erotica and AVN Halls of Fame in January, Karen will receive her third Hall of Fame induction at the XRCO Awards this April at Lure Nightclub. For a performer who left the industry in the early '90s just as computers were being introduced to the world, coming back to the adult business in 2014 was a major shock. With a significant emphasis on Web and mobile content delivery, there were significant learning curves and challenges to overcome.
