Honey's Place Family Mourns Loss of David Denson

NORTH HILLS, Calif.—As co-workers mourn the loss of fellow Honey’s Place member David Denson, they have set up a Go Fund Me account to help his family cover the costs of funeral expenses. “As most of you already know,  our friend and our co-worker passed away Sunday morning,” Inga K. Riper of Honey’s Place wrote. “David has been part of the Honey’s Place family for almost 17 years. Every day he was the first person here in the morning and the last person to leave at night. He truly cared about his co-workers, customers and especially his friends and family. David was kind to everyone. He was the person here at Honey’s Place that people came to for everything from product knowledge to listening to someone when they had a problem. David had a special ability to touch so many people in so many ways.” Denson died Feb. 22 of a heart attack. He was 49. “I am not sure how to express the sadness that I and everyone here feels today for the loss of David Honeys Place,” Bonnie Feingold, president and CEO of Honey’s Place wrote. “I knew him for the last 17 years, even before I came to the company. There are very few people who can touch so many people. It has been difficult to walk by his office empty. I am so use to beginning and ending my day seeing David. He is someone that I cared about, trusted and I valued his opinion. He is missed already!!” An avid fan of classic cars and dedicated to the preservation of Mopar-built vehicles, Denson grew up in Southern California, originally in Santa Barbara and then graduating from Sylmar High School in 1983. During his time at Sylmar high he helped to organize and operate the Auto Expo. Before joining Honey’s Place, he worked in sales for World News. “David's closest friends and family reached out to us asking for any help towards his funeral,” Van Riper posted on the Go Fund Me page. “David is our family and we at Honey's Place takes care of our family. We  are also reaching out and  asking  our extended family for help and assistance towards the final his final expenses. Anything that you can contribute would be greatly appreciated.” To donate to help defray funeral costs for Denson’s family, visit GoFundMe.com. Details for funeral services will be posted on Honey’s Place’s Facebook page and other social media accounts as they are available.
