Wyde Appeal: Pure Play Finds Nobody Doesn’t Like Sara Jay

Jay has a tremendous following among fans and retailers alike and her DVD releases picked up steam with the mere mention of her name. Pure Play Media saw potential for Wyde Syde’s expansion and discussed a distribution plan to bring exclusive Sara Jay DVDs to more fans across the country. Our network of retailers has been eager for fast-selling content with a brand so strong that almost acts as its own marketing department, and Sara Jay’s Wyde Syde is one of the best.  “Response from retailers has been great; all I have to do is mention Sara’s name and that it’s her very own line and it’s practically a done deal,” said Pure Play Media sales representative Mike L., who handles the Wyde Syde account. “Sara has a huge following and it’s a no-brainer for stores to bring it in for their customer base—especially for fans of interracial content and big butts. Fans are obsessed with her ass.” What seems to secure the sale is the fact that Wyde Syde DVDs give fans access to movies made by Jay personally, rather than scenes that she’s paid to star in. They’re getting Sara Jay firsthand and owning something that truly represents her sexual tastes—because she’s the one developing, producing, directing and starring in almost every scene. “My brand is strong enough that if fans see a title with my name on it, they’ll probably buy it,” Jay said. “I have more than 14 years of industry experience both in front of and behind the camera, and I’m committed to being associated with nothing but the most authentically sexy content featuring insatiable raw talent. My fans trust that the scenes they’re about to see are as good as they can possibly be because I’m at the helm, and I am lucky that they trust my work enough to keep coming back for more.” Jay isn’t the first performer to take her talent behind the scenes, but there’s something special about her taste level and eye for detail, likely sharpened and refined by her years of experience. “Jay knows that a strong scene is dependent on authentically enthusiastic talent that truly enjoys what they’re doing, as well as palpable chemistry between performers,” Mike L. said. “Video quality, lighting and thoughtful editing in post-production are also key, and Jay works hard to have all of those bases covered.” Jay was most inspired to take her porn production more seriously after having shot an extensive catalog for her official site. She was eager to create higher-quality gonzo and vignette-style scenes, and with a dearth of female porn-makers—particularly in the interracial genre—Jay knew she was the right woman to fill the void and change the game. “I’ve always been a proponent of breaking the mold, so to speak, and Pure Play Media recognized the earning potential of my company and was willing to invest in it,” Jay said.  With the ink of the deal barely dry, our team has already started working toward expanding the Wyde Syde brand into more territories across the country, especially in regions where her web presence remains high but her retail presence could use a boost. My fans are the centerpiece of this entire project; they were the inspiration behind producing Wyde Syde in the first place.” As part of this new deal, Pure Play Media will assist with Wyde Syde’s marketing, branding and DVD distribution in various markets and establish new outlets for the studio’s content. Rather than compiling online content onto DVD, Wyde Syde will continue to produce brand-new gonzo scenes exclusively for DVD to give fans choice and incentive to purchase a physical product rather than download it online. “Fans today still want more ways of getting product, which includes DVDs, and I want to make certain that my products are available via all media forms,” Jay said. “I will continue to star in my own productions for as long as my fans want to see me, and when that shifts, Wyde Syde will remain a fully operational production company specializing only the newest and hottest talent.” And Pure Play Media will be behind Jay and Wyde Syde Productions every step of the way.
