Evil Angel Scores 139 Nominations for 2015 AVN Awards

VAN NUYS, Calif.—Every January, the AVN Awards presentation in Las Vegas recognizes the adult entertainment industry’s finest creations. For your consideration in 2015: Elite XXX studio Evil Angel heads to Vegas with 139 awards nominations. Seventeen Evil Angel filmmakers were acknowledged in 57 wide-ranging categories, reflecting the company’s diverse approaches to erotic entertainment. Evil Angel founder John Stagliano led the way with 13 nominations, all for Voracious Season Two. The artistically edgy, hard-core vampire serial garnered prestigious AVN Awards nods for Best Director—Feature, Best Drama, Best Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Special Effects, Best Soundtrack, Best Makeup and Best Marketing Campaign—Individual Project. AVN lauded the epic’s striking action with nominations for Best Boy/Girl Sex Scene, Best Girl/Girl Sex Scene, Best All-Girl Group Sex Scene and Most Outrageous Sex Scene. A Best Non-Sex Performance nomination recognizes beloved company General Manager Christian Mann, who passed away in 2014. Director/performer Dana Vespoli gathered 12 AVN noms, including three for the acclaimed Hollywood Babylon: Best Director—Feature, Best Drama and Best Screenplay. Director/performer Manuel Ferrara’s Misha Cross Wide Open was named in five categories: Best Director—Non-Feature (for Ferrara and Kayden Kross); Best Star Showcase; Best Editing; Best Oral Sex Scene; and Best Double-Penetration Scene. Evil Angel’s newest director/performer, Aiden Starr, took five nominations, including Best New Imprint for her Aiden Starr Corp. The fetish filmmaker was recognized in the Best Solo Release category (Curvy Casting Couch), Best Specialty Release—Other Genre category (Marshmallow Girls) and twice in the Best BDSM Movie category (Masochistic Masturbation and Pussy Whipped). A host of Evil Angel directors received multiple awards mentions. Joining Vespoli with nominations in the prestigious Director Of The Year category are AVN Hall Of Famer Joey Silvera and mainstream crossover star James Deen. Popular glam/filth director Jonni Darkko and Silvera each harvested a dozen 2015 AVN nominations, while Deen brought home a lucky 13, including six for his ambitious James Deen’s 7 Sins series. Evil Angel mainstay Rocco Siffredi grabbed nine nods, while Ferrara, Jay Sin, Mike Adriano, Kevin Moore and Lexington Steele landed eight apiece. Aiden Riley, LeWood Productions, Nacho Vidal, Glenn King and David Perry all took AVN Awards noms. A couple of big nominations recognize Evil Angel as a whole: Best Marketing Campaign—Company Image and Best Membership Site, for EvilAngel.com. Several Evil Angel movies were repeatedly honored. Siffredi’s Rocco’s Perfect Slaves 2 and Rocco’s Coming In America, Darkko’s V For Vicki, Sin’s Pretty Sloppy 5 and James Deen’s 7 Sins: GREED all took multiple nominations (in addition to the big hauls for Voracious Season Two, Misha Cross Wide Open and Hollywood Babylon). A handful of energetic Evil Angel directors were recognized for their performing prowess: Ferrara, Adriano, Steele and Deen earned Male Performer Of The Year nominations; Siffredi, Vidal and Perry were named in the Male Foreign Performer Of The Year classification, and LeWood’s Francesca Le dresses up the MILF Performer Of The Year category.
