Did Amazon Remove a Porno Featuring Killer Luka Magnotta?

CYBERSPACE—Following a request for comment by Global News regarding the fact that it was selling copies of a gay porn video called Adorable, featuring Luka Magnotta (pictured), the alleged killer and cannibalizer of Lin Jun in May 2012, Amazon.com may have removed the remaining 10 copies from its virtual shelves. At least that is the theory put forward by Global News, which reported this afternoon that the movie is no longer available on the megasite. Global News was apparently upset about the fact that Magnotta, who infamously and perversely videotaped the murder of his friend, was given increased exposure in the movie, though the lawyer and e-commerce expert they spoke with had some interesting ideas about why the video should not be sold. “It’s not illegal, but it’s unethical,” Gratton told Global News. “He’s not convicted yet, but at the same time, by distributing the movie at this point in time, it’s almost indirectly making him benefit from this movie.” But it's unclear precisely how he is "almost indirectly" benefitting. Magnotta isn't making any residuals from the movie, to be sure, so that's one benefit he isn't receiving. Maybe his ego is stroked by just knowing the movie is for sale on Amazon, though how he could know that from jail is unclear. What's more likely, however, is that Magnotta, whose trial begins next Monday, has no clue what's going on with Adorable, it's just the paper that cannot abide the idea that the movie is available, and if anything, it is their article that paradoxically will remind people that a movie with Magnotta in it still exists. More disturbing is Amazon's alleged chicken shit manner of quietly removing otherwise viable product under pressure, and of course, let's not forget about all the women just swooning over that bad boy from Canada. Who knows, maybe they actually bought Amazon out in a desperate attempt to get more, more, more Magnotta.
