CCBill Named an ASACP 2014 Title Sponsor

TEMPA, Ariz.—Global payment processor CCBill is proud to team with The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) as a 2014 Title Sponsor. CCBill is honored to lend its support to ASACP, and in turn, enable its merchants to have peace-of-mind knowing their payment processor is a responsible member of the adult community and a leader in the fight to protect children online. CCBill is a longtime supporter of ASACP, with recurrent sponsorships and inclusion in the annual ASACP/FSC charity golf tournament held as part of The Phoenix Forum, hosted by CCBill — which also provided a generous range of additional sponsorship for ASACP at this event. ASACP Executive Director Tim Henning commented on CCBill’s sponsorship, saying, “CCBill exemplifies how making money and doing the right thing can work hand in hand. Corporate responsibility is an important consideration for companies navigating the challenges of age-inappropriate content in the online marketplace, where ASACP’s expertise can help businesses protect themselves by protecting children.” “By upholding the highest ethical and operational standards, CCBill distinguishes itself among its competitors — guided by business leaders who set an example worthy of being followed by their peers,” Henning stated. “ASACP’s Sponsors, like CCBill, have put child protection ahead of profits.” Gary Jackson, CCBill’s managing V.P. of sales, understands the importance of the alliance saying, “Following ASACP’s Best Practices and Code of Ethics has become an increasingly important way for the industry to show that it can govern itself. We pride ourselves on our diligence and that of our merchants. Being a leader in our industry means keeping our organization to the highest level of standards, and helping our merchants do the same.” In August of 2013, CCBill worked with ASACP to assist in the writing of its Ethics and Code of Conduct policies. The protection policies are an integral part of CCBill’s standing code of practices, which apply to all of its merchants Additionally, CCBill is an invited member of the ASACP Advisory Board, actively engaging with other industry leaders to promote the importance of protection practices. “One way our community can show its support is through the use of the  Restricted to Adult (RTA) label, which we encourage our merchants to put on their sites,” Jackson added. “ASACP and the ASACP Foundation are extremely grateful for the ongoing and increased support CCBill has extended to the association,” Henning adds. “Its generous support enables ASACP to continue to expand its mission of protecting children in the digital age while protecting your businesses.”  For more information, contact tim@asacp.org.
