Sophia Fiore Column: Squat Your Way to Sex with the Lights On

This is the first in a series of articles written for AVN.com by Sophia Fiore, adult performer and fitness expert. Fiore, who is also known in the national figure competition and personal training circuits as Kayla Mayne, has launched the website LookGoodNakedLifestyle.com. Learn more about her adult work at MissSophiaFiore.com.Positive body image, stamina, and sexual know-how all enhance our levels of sexual satisfaction. And there’s no better way to heighten the first of these two factors than through exercise. Gaining confidence about your body image and feeling sexy with or without clothes on—top or bottom … even upside down or sideways!—says a lot in the bedroom. Pair that with having the stamina to keep up and keep going, and you're asking for fire in the sheets! That's ON or OFF camera, folks. Squats are a great way to gain stamina and self-confidence—and those things in turn have a direct connection to a strong and healthy body. When working out, our bodies produce endorphins (that "feel good" hormone) while we produce higher levels of testosterone. Yes, ladies, we all have testosterone, and NO, it won't make you lose your boobs or look "manly" because it's already innately there. When those levels naturally rise, both women and men have a higher metabolic rate along with a higher sex drive. As a result, we want sex more—and we burn more calories while having it! No muscle group packs a heavier punch getting to this point than working out your lower body. One of the best exercises for the lower body happens to be squats. The move activates hip flexibility, glutes (your booty), pelvic power, leg strength and overall endurance. Think about how great sex would be like if you kick all those things up another notch in the bedroom. Now put your lube away! You can get back to that thought after you finish reading this article. Remember when doing squats to keep your shoulders back, stomach tucked in, and weight on your heels. If you have not done a proper squat before, I recommend using a chair as an anchor. Don't fully sit on the chair, but instead barely tap the chair with your butt and then come back up. Once you have done this, move on to squatting without the chair. After you have mastered that, begin to add weight. To watch a video of me demonstrating proper squats, click here. Squatting is a great move to lift and firm your butt! If you’re looking to improve confidence in your body image or step up your game in the bedroom, then step up your time in the gym! Squat your way to sex with the lights on!
