APAC to Hold Newbie Orientation Panel in April

LOS ANGELES—The Adult Performer Advocacy Committee (APAC) announced today that it will hold a Newbie Orientation Panel on April 6 at 7pm at an unspecified location in Silver Lake. Closed to the public and members of the press, the panel is a follow-up to the January release by the performer advocacy group of an updated version of “Porn 101,” about which member Chanel Preston said last month, “’Porn 101’ is just the beginning in [APAC’s] endeavor to educate.” That endeavor to educate is a core function of APAC, whose mission is to maintain and improve safety and working conditions within the adult film industry. In today’s statement, the group elaborates, “An organization created solely by performers, APAC gives adult industry talent organized representation in matters that affect performer health, safety, and community. By creating unity amongst adult industry talent, APAC hopes to strengthen the industry’s ability to address current issues and concerns." Performers interested in attending the April 6 Newbie Orientation Panel in Silver Lake are asked to either inquire with their agent or LA-based testing center about the exact address, or email apac.information@gmail.com. The statement adds that the evening is closed to the public and the media “in order to maintain focus on the questions and concerns of performers.” For more information, visit apac-usa.com or Twitter.
