Dan Savage Takes HUMP! Tour on the Road

LOS ANGELES—Founded in 2005 as "The Pacific Northwest's Sexiest Film Fest," Dan Savage is taking the HUMP! Festival on tour. Beginning Feb. 15 in Chicago, and featuring 15 "short films [that] run the gamut of sexual styles: straight, gay, lesbian, transgender... every color in the sexual rainbow... and some we never knew existed," Dan Savage's HUMP! Tour will then head to San Francisco before moving on to Madison, Wisconsin, as it winds its way to New York via Long Beach, California. Don't ask. The debut screenings in Chicago will take place at the Music Box Theater with Savage hosting the festivities. The tour also plans to have as-yet-unscheduled stops in Washington, D.C., Dallas, Minneapolis and Vancouver. The schedule and more information can be found here. The site reads, "HUMP! films are funny, thought-provoking, sad, artistic, outrageous, and almost overwhelmingly sexy—because they're real. And they're real because they were created and performed by sex-positive people, just like YOU." Selections from the current batch of films include Go Ahead, Pee!, with the descriptor, "Don't you hate it when you're jumping on your trampoline in your unitard and you really have to take a piss?" Another is Music for 2 Humans : "Aw...this straight couple reminds us that sometimes sex is just nice and special and doesn't involve any knives or fire!" And still another is Mythical Proportions: "This mockumentary details the taboo love of humans and centaurs, as enacted by some butt-ugly puppets." You have to be 21+ to be admitted.
