'Team Girlfriends' Cuts the Ribbon Officially Opening AEE 2014

LAS VEGAS—Everyone loves a good ribbon-cutting ceremony, and this year, the roughly three dozen photographers waiting to capture the action got a treat: A line-up of XXX beauties flanked by the current and former owners of Girlfriends Films. Present for the ceremony that officially opened the 2014 Adult Entertainment Expo were top performers Tanya Tate, Tasha Reign, Dana DeArmond, Aaliyah Love and Girlfriends contract star Prinzzess, with able assistance from both the company's founder, Dan O'Connell, and its new owner, the man known simply as Moose. Of course, the ceremony didn't go off without a hitch, possibly because several hands tried to operate the giant scissors that was to cut the ribbon, but the first cut only made it halfway through the tape, leaving Prinzzess to complete the mission with an extra stroke. Her reaction? "It was amazing!" But why choose the Girlfriends crew for this honor? "I think it's because we're nice-looking people and we've got good girls, and this is our twelfth year here," O'Connell opined. "We really got our start here at the AVN Show. I didn't even know what to charge for our videos when I came to our first AVN show, which was over at the Sands Expo at that time. My little tiny booth was next to another producer's, and he coached me through things. Since then, we have not missed an AVN Show and have not missed an ad in AVN magazine, so that shows you the importance we place on AVN as our compatriot in promoting Girlfriends Films and advertising and getting everything done, and it's worked for us."
