Wicked Girl Alektra Blue Fronts Accessory Line Side Piece

HOUSTON—Accessory line Side Piece has steadily been creating buzz since its official launch last summer: from the controversial backstory of how designer/founder Isaac Lyons christened the line to recent custom collaboration pieces for recording artists Keri Hilson, Cory Bold and Wynter Gordon, Side Piece has had no problem upholding it’s creative methods of branding. One of those methods was upping the ante for the line's 2012 ad campaign shoot, cleverly themed "Well $pent." AnWicked Studios contract girl Alektra Blue to the mix. Lyons, already a long time admirer of Blue, knew this was the perfect time collaborate with the starlet herself. “I had been planning the looks and theme for the Well $pent campaign pretty much right after we shot the 2011 ads. I wanted to go in a sexier, edgier yet high-end direction to complement the new collection. I knew I wanted to pair models with celebrities, and Alektra was always at the top of my list. She’s stylish and exudes sex appeal both on and off screen so I knew she’d be perfect for this type of shoot, “ Lyons said. Shot at one of Houston’s most exclusive luxury hotels, Hotel Derek, Blue's segment features her alone and paired next to rising artist Mavric Reigns, both styled in high-end and vintage apparel finished off with the newest metallic pendants from Side Piece. The campaign also features Pop/R&B recording artist Salo, the previously mentioned Reigns, and a bevy of beautiful models. The ds were revealed in late February at an exclusive party in Houston, where the line is now based- and made their online debut on award-winning blog FashionCitizen.com and Side Piece’s online store SidePiece.BigCartel.com.
