Final Nominees for 3rd Annual 'O' Awards Announced

CHATSWORTH, Calif.—Final nominees for the third annual “O” Awards have been announced, and the winners will be revealed during the ceremony on July 8. “The ‘O’ Awards recognize the companies and products that raise the bar for the novelty and pleasure products industry,” said Sherri L. Shaulis, senior editor of pleasure products for AVN. “And this year’s nominees are include some standouts that are not content to sit back and do the same things over and over again, but take a chance and really push the envelope.” The “O” Awards—which take place during the AVN Novelty Expo, July 7-9 at the Pasadena Convention Center—will be hosted by sex and relationship expert Reid Mihalko. “Academy Awards, watch out!” Mihalko said. “I'm honored that I get to be the Billy Crystal of this year’s Adult Novelty Expo’s ‘O’ Awards for AVN, where I'm wrangling some of the web's most talented sex geeks to help me present the awards and then celebrate in style!” Finalists were culled from pre-nominations submitted by various companies, including manufacturers, distributors and retailers, and then voted on by a panel of industry experts. The winners will be chosen by a separate panel of voters and—in some cases—attendees at the AVN Novelty Expo. The nominees in the Outstanding Product Debut category will not be announced until the AVN Novelty Expo, since only products debuting at that show are eligible for that category. The “O” Awards are open to all registered attendees of the AVN Novelty Expo.
