Sexy Cora’s Doctors Charged With Manslaughter in Her Death

BERLIN—Two doctors who performed breast enlargement surgery on German porn star Sexy Cora have been charged with negligent manslaughter after she died nine days subsequent to the surgery. Carolin Berger, aka Sexy Cora, is believed to have gone into cardiac arrest and fell into a coma during the surgery in Hamburg on Jan. 11, and died yesterday. The cause of death of the 23-year-old porn performer "is still unclear," Wilhelm Moellers, a spokesman for the Hamburg state prosecutor, said. According to reports in the German media, it was the porn star’s sixth breast augmentation surgery and she was seeking to increase her breast size from an F to a G cup. An investigation into Cora’s death was the result of a call to police by the doctors who fielded the emergency call from the clinic. A statement released by the clinic said the doctors were “extremely upset and deeply regret” Cora’s death. An autopsy on the blonde and tattooed porn star will take place next week. There’s been speculation that it was the anesthesia that put Cora in a coma, but according to the clinic’s statement, that can be ruled out. "As matters stand currently a defect in the anesthetizing device can be ruled out," the clinic statement said. "The claim that the monitoring could have given readings other than the actual vital functions of the patient has nothing to do with the facts and has no connection to reality." “The brain damage was too great. Her blood pressure dropped steadily, physiological functions gave out ... then she went to sleep quietly," Cora’s husband Tim Wosnitza told the German newspaper Bild. The investigation should also determine why emergency medical personnel showed up 20 to 25 minutes after an alarm went off. "Erroneous behavior by the doctors is unproven and at this point just an 'assessment' by one of the emergency medical personnel who'd brought Ms. W to the University Clinic Hamburg," the clinic said.
