Stormy Daniels Feud With Merch Store Runners Gets Cops Involved

In what must have been a dizzying week so far for AVN Hall of Famer Stormy Daniels, the day after she publicly lashed out at her own lawyer, Michael Avenatti, a celebrity news site reported that Daniels may have new trouble with the police stemming from a feud with the two men who operate her online merchandise store. Two weeks ago, Daniels indicated that she would fire Avenatti if domestic violence allegations against him proved to be accurate. Avenatti had been arrested on suspicion of assaulting his girlfriend, but no felony charge was issued, as AVN.com reported. A misdemeanor domestic violence charge remains possible, however. Nonetheless, Daniels has not severed ties with Avenatti, but on Wednesday she issued a scathing public statement accusing the lawyer—who has become a prominent media personality since filing Daniels’ lawsuit against Donald Trump in March of this year—of unethical conduct on multiple fronts, according to The Daily Beast.  In her statement, Daniels accused Avenatti of failing to give her a proper accounting of money raised from a crowdfunding campaign for her legal defense and personal security. She also alleged that Avenatti filed a defamation lawsuit against Trump—a suit which was dismissed last month—even though she did not want him to do so. But on Thursday, The Blast—a celebrity news site founded by former TMZ employees—reported that Daniels may need a lawyer again, this time because she has, the site said, been reported to the police by the two men who operate her merch store. The Blast reported that Keith Munyan and J.D. Barrale, who are a couple and are longtime friends of Daniels as well, reported Danielks and her husband, Brendon Miller, to Santa Barbara County Sheriffs, alleging that the estranged couple have made threats and that Miller used an anti-gay slur, in a dispute over money that Daniels claims she is owed from the merchandise sales. On his Twitter account, Avenatti said that he could not confirm whether the police report had been filed. “In response to press inquiries, note that we have not yet confirmed whether any police report was filed last night naming Stormy or her husband,” Avenatti wrote. “We ask that people reserve judgment until the facts are known.” “We’re told Stormy recently began accusing the guys of owing her money earned from operating the store, and has accused them of stealing around $25,000,” The Blast wrote. “Things took a drastic turn Wednesday afternoon, when the men claimed to receive a text message from Daniels’ estranged husband, (Brendon Miller). We’re told she recently reconnected with (Miller), as they share a daughter together.” In that message Miller allegedly used the anti-gay slur, and told the two men, that they “fucked with my daughters’ money, which means you’ve now fucked with me.” The Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Office told The Blast, “The case is under investigation but at this time does not appear to rise to the level of a criminal threats case. The incident was documented and is still under investigation.” But the Sheriff's statement did not specify that the case involved Daniels, telling The Blast only, "At approximately 5:30 pm tonight a Solvang resident contacted the Sheriff’s office regarding a threatening text message he received.” The site was unable to reach Daniels or Miller for comment.
