CockyBoys Star Levi Karter Reveals Drag Alter-Ego Sassy Frass

In a new interview with the news and pop culture site Mic.com, two performers under exclusive contract to the studio CockyBoys have been conducting parallel careers as drag performers, and while one has been public about his dual roles, the other, Liam Karter, has now revealed for the first time that he and drag performer Sassy Frass Meaner are the same person. The reason Karter has kept his alter-ego a secret until now, according to Mic.com writer Evan Ross Katz, was due to “the tension between gay porn, a type of entertainment that favors hypermasculinity, and drag, an art form that celebrates hyperfemininity.” “Porn has been my job and my career for over five years,” Karter told the site. “And it’s like, if I don’t have it ... I don’t really have anything.” His “Sassy Frass Meaner” identity is simply not lucrative enough to serve as his full-time career, Karter told the site. “If anything, she’s making my credit card worse,” he said. “So it is just nerve-wracking. I definitely don’t want to lose my job or what makes me able to be Sassy because that’s what at the end of the day makes me happy and fun and carefree.” At the same time, his fellow performer at the studio, Liam Riley, has attempted to cross-promote his porn career with his drag career as “Bambi Wadley.” “There is a stigma against feminine men in porn,” Riley told Katz. “As a feminine person, I’ve experienced it, I’ve felt it, not just in our community. I think in general to be a feminine man is looked down upon because people expect men to be macho, strong, not emotional and those are awful things, you know, and that’s just not who I am.” Fortunately for both performers, and their fans, they have received support from their employer. “A lot of our true, genuine fans will be supportive,” CockyBoys' CEO Jake Jaxson told  the site. “We need to just throw your hat off and give someone a pat on the back for taking a risk and doing something different, having fun and, you know, if I make less money doing that, so be it.” Photo via Mic.com YouTube Screen Capture
