Savana Styles Makes Feature Directing Debut With 'The Riders'

LOS ANGELES—A French Canadian with a va-va-voom 36D-25-35 figure that pairs nicely with her charming accent, Savana Styles has parlayed her assets into a career in adult entertainment that now includes her own production company. This month will see the release of her first big feature, titled The Riders. How did Styles get her start? “I was a registered nurse until I was 27, 28 years old,” said the former Montreal resident. “And I was also an international model, traveling around the world.” Her modeling career evolved over time. “When I was younger, I did more fashion because I had less curves. After that I went to lingerie,” Styles said. She competed as a fitness model and posed for calendars. And in 2012 she was featured on the cover of the Canadian Hustler. “But modeling is not very good money,” Styles said. “I wanted a new challenge. I wanted to quit nursing and I wanted to live in L.A. And I have a high libido. I love sex and I already have a lot of experience in my life, so for me that was the best jump.” After the initial jump she took a huge leap into the next phase of her life: married and living in Los Angeles with her new husband, Lexington Steele, a three-time AVN Male Performer of the Year winner. Styles recalled how it happened: “I went to AVN [Expo] in 2014 as a fan and I was sitting on the mezzanine and watching the show and dreaming about to be a porn star, and he was there and he was so handsome. And at the end of the show I said I had to meet him. I crossed the line and I went direct to him and he saw me and said, ‘Well, hello. Can we exchange numbers?’ Finally he called me. I was back in Canada. He invited me back to his place. He introduced me to the business and we also fell in love. It was like a dream come true.” Styles moved to L.A. in August 2015 and started learning the ropes, shooting for Porn Pros, Devil’s Film, Brazzers, Kink, and of course Evil Angel, which has distributed Lexington Steele’s movies since 2013. “You have to shoot and shoot and shoot. What helped me was when I began to do anal,” she said, pronouncing the word a-nal with a short vowel sound. “I didn’t know that at the beginning. I was scared of it, actually. But when you do it, it’s not that bad. … There is a big market for that. I have the ass, so people expect from me that I do anal.” When Styles began creating her own content, she delved into the fetish market. “I learned how to direct when I opened my Clips4Sale studio almost one year ago. I produce almost all the scenes. I do different types of fetish: wrestling, ball-busting. I tried about everything. I saw that for me that was fun and easy and I was good at it. And it gives me lots of experience. And now I’m ready for DVDs,” she said. In the competitive Clips4Sale marketplace—“There are thousands of studios. If you don’t post every day, you don’t do money”—Styles experimented with many types of content and said that for her, “the best seller is when the girl is dominant.” That discovery led to the creation of her production company, Alpha Females. “My main movie is The Riders. It was shot on a ranch—it’s a cowgirl movie,” Styles said. She also appears in the movie, alongside Romi Rain, Briana Banks, and Adriana Chechik, AVN’s reigning Female Performer of the Year. “They gave me great performance. They understand the concept because it’s a bit different. On the ranch, every girl is like a call girl and they come to my saloon and I present the guy as a stallion that they have to ride,” Styles explained. “So they have the control. Instead of being fucked by the guy, they have to fuck him. In every position the girl is very athletic, very active. “The guys, I also chose the best performers I know,” Styles said. For The Riders she does her first double anal and first d.p., working with Markus Dupree and current Male Performer of the Year Mick Blue. She paired Banks with Xander Corvus. “They gave me good, good scene. With Romi Rain I had Charles Dera, who is a great actor, I really like him. And with Adriana is Derrick Pierce. It was different for those guys because they’re used to being dominant and they had to almost let the girl do everything, but all the guys did it.” In addition to producing, financing and directing The Riders, Styles also designed the costumes—“all the earrings, jewelry, cowboy hats.” Steele worked the video camera, with photographer Mario Rossi shooting stills. “I put all my art—and my money—in this project,” Styles said, laughing. “It was such a great experience. I love to perform, but this project shows another level.” The movie will be released by Lexington Steele Media Group, with a street date of August 28. And Styles has other movies in the works for Alpha Females, including a movie that highlights one of her passions: wrestling with other adult performers. “I shot with Briana Banks, Kenzie Taylor, Nicky Ferrari, Miss Raquel, Jenna Foxx and Raven Hart. … I show them all the positions and they really liked it. And of course every one ends with girl/girl sex scene,” Styles said, adding, “At the end they all sweat—no bruises, no scratches. It’s jut submission.” She and Steele are also doing two orgy movies. One is based on a video for the song “Call on Me,” recorded by Swedish DJ Eric Prydz, which itself had been inspired by the 1985 movie Perfect, starring John Travolta and Jamie Lee Curtis. “I created all the costumes—the girls looks like in the ’80s with headbands and leotards,” Styles said. “I did the choreography for the beginning.” For the future, Styles said, “If I can produce one, two or three movies a month it would be perfect for me. … And I want to bring some other women I know, I want to offer them the opportunity to make DVDs for Lexington Steele Media Group.” The busy performer also makes regular updates to her own website, SavanaStylesXXX.com, which is in the Pornstar Platinum network. In addition, she can be booked for feature dance gigs through A-List. To keep fans engaged, Styles maintains two Twitter feeds—@SavanaStyles and @AlphaFemalesXXX—and is also active on Instagram (SavanaStyles_) and SnapChat (SavanaStylesXXX).
