MyFreeCams Community Gathers at Exxxotica N.J.

EDISON, N.J.—Harli Lotts looks forward to shows like Exxxotica, where she can put a face to a screen-name and swap stories with other MyFreeCams models. “This is my seventh one,” Lotts told AVN Friday on the opening night of Exxxotica New Jersey. “Because I’m stuck in my room alone all the time this is amazing. I get to actually meet people. I have about five of my regular tippers here right now. It makes the community feel real.” The MyFreeCams community came out in force for the 30th nationwide Exxxotica show, where Lotts and a few dozen of her fellow models set the tone for a weekend of hijinks at the N.J. Convention and Expo Center in Edison. Amidst a sea of green at MyFreeCams’ spacious booth, Lotts & Co. entertained a steady stream of fans both in her chat room and in person. The personable blonde native of El Paso, Texas, debuted on MyFreeCams last April and since has worked her way up the ranks thanks to her lively shows and dedicated work schedule. “I googled ‘what’s the best cam site?’ And MyFreeCams was all over everywhere. So I started watching it and I fell in love with the community immediately and I said that’s it, I’m signing up. I quit my job the next day,” said Lotts, who was the general manager for a rent-to-own company before she started camming. “It’s really great, it’s stress free. You’re your own boss. It’s healthy.” MyFreeCams, launched in 2004, came well-prepared for Exxxotica, where it returned this year as the Presenting Sponsor. Now routinely exhibiting at more than a dozen fan-driven shows per year around the world, the MyFreeCams team has steadily increased the amenities at the venue for their models, who pay their own way to attend. One need look no further for evidence of that than backstage at the MFC booth, where a generous spread of snacks and refreshments is set up for the models to enjoy. Craving blueberry muffins, potato chips or Jersey Mikes subs? MyFreeCams has it covered. There’s also Red Bull by the case and plenty of coconut water and fruit juice to keep the girls fueled. On the other side of the back room are rows of well-stocked shelves with MyFreeCams swag—there’s enough branded gear stacked up to open a small retail store. Among the items spotted Friday were booty shorts, crop tops, baseball caps, slippers, G-strings, knee-high socks, vibrators, hair clips, makeup bags, lighters, stickers, shot glasses, matches, pens and pencils—all with MyFreeCams branding. There are even MyFreeCams toothbrushes. That’s not to mention an assortment of t-shirts with messages such as “Sorry for what I said when I was horny,” “Got Tokens?” and “MFC Army.” The idea is to make the models feel at home. “It’s a great thing,” said Ms. Sammi Ross, who made the trip to New Jersey from her home in Tampa, Fla., and did a 30-minute session Friday night. “Some of the models are camming here without even taking their clothes off. They’re just having a blast. You see girls just playing with each other.” Tammy Gold came to Exxxotica N.J. for the first time this weekend, making the drive from nearby Brooklyn, N.Y. A part-time hair stylist who cams every day for about six hours, Gold said the thrill of camming gives her “a high.” “I came here for the whole experience,” said Gold, whose been camming for three years. “Tonight I’m just trying to get the feel of it and I’m going to be here all day tomorrow. I did the Model-Meet Up yesterday. I was nervous as hell but they were all very welcoming.” The night before every show the MFC team organizes a Model Meet-Up at a local hotspot; Thursday night’s gathering drew about 30 models to a bar in New York City. Speaking of first-timers, Aviana Rose made an impression Friday night in her virgin appearance at the MyFreeCams booth after debuting on cam just two months ago. “I’m actually in the top 95 now, I work really hard,” Rose told AVN. “I wanted to meet more customers and a wider base of people and I thought if I came here a lot more people would see me in person and meet me, so I thought that would be cool.” A native of the Midwest, the 20-year-old Rose is a full-time college student who is on track to receive her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and another associate’s degree before she turns 21. She makes time to cam at least four hours a day between schoolwork. She said camming is “a lifestyle.” “If you can’t commit your entire life to it you’re not going to get high up. It’s really hard work,” said Rose, who has a background in mainstream modeling along with singing and acting experience. “I’ve been in a movie or two. Before I got into this I had never done any lingerie shoots or anything like that, just very high-fashion, classy stuff. I keep this very separate from my personal life.” In what has become a signature part of MyFreeCams’ show presence, the MFC TV crew on Friday was gearing up for another round of video interviews that will appear later on MFC.TV. MFC TV producer Justin Schoenrock told AVN he’d be working closely with popular model Stefanie Joy, who will be the MFC TV host this weekend.  “She’ll be asking the girls questions like what they do in their rooms, what are their favorite features and what makes them special—that kind of thing,” Schoenrock said backstage. “Stefanie has done interviews before where we sit down with the models on camera. She’s got a really natural personality for it.” Schoenrock said he and Joy would also be walking the show floor this weekend, talking to some of the other vendors and exploring the dungeon area. “It’s a little bit of everything. We try to spice it up so every episode is different,” he continued. “We were just in Toronto [at the Everything to Do With Sex Show] and everything we did was sit-down interviews—two-camera sit-down interviews where we broke it into sections. “So one section was just about how beneficial it is for models to come to these expo events. To be able to meet fans, do autographs, cam from the shows. Another section was about all the free swag. What’s their favorite piece of free swag, how well does it benefit them? That show was kind of like a cosplay day. So any of the models that are into cosplay got to talk about what’s their favorite character they’ve ever played; how much time do they have to put into some of these costumes getting into makeup and character. “And then the other section was just about them. Tell me a little bit about yourself and what makes you, you. If I was just some random person and hopped into your cam room what would I see? What would I experience? Those were just sit-down interviews. It changes.” Schoenrock said MFC is in post-production on a pseudo-documentary about MyFreeCams that would be unveiled at the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo in January at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. The two-day shoot involved a 20-person crew and 17-page script. “It turned out really great and I think the girls are going to get a kick out of it,” Schoerock said. “We have two primary audiences: Audience No. 1 are the models and potential models that we come across. Audience No. 2 are the members and just the general public. But our No. 1 audience is the models.” Back on the show floor, the excitable Harli Lotts was hopping around in her tight jeans and low-cut “Got Tokens?” t-shirt in front of her laptop with her MyFreeCams cap turned backwards. In the past year-and-a-half she’s gotten to the point where she can now earn what she made in a 60-hour week on salary in sometimes as little as four hours on a good day at MyFreeCams.com. “It’s insane,” Lotts said. “Guys come to this site for an escape, so you just have to remember it’s like an interactive TV show. You have to keep them engaged and keep focused on them. It’s about them and them being happy. So I don’t let any drama or anything go on in my room. It’s all about having fun.” Now among the site’s Top 10 models, Lotts cams from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. MST Monday through Friday. “I’m a day model which is really rare. A lot of people are night models,” she said. “It’s perfect for me. I have my nights and I can cook dinner and watch ‘South Park.’ MFC has such a great community and great following.
