Dani Daniels to Open Art Exhibit in New York

NEW YORK—Adult star Dani Daniels will open her "Painting All the Art" exhibit Thursday night in New York. Presented by 212 Arts from 7 to 10 p.m., Daniels, aka Kira Lee, will introduce her study in "Iconic Pointillism,” a technique she created using the written word as pointillism. The gallery is located at 240 East 4th Street. "No one has ever used handwritten words for pointillism before," Lee said. "It’s not a concept I came up with overnight. The process of creating texture and grey scale from typography has been and still is evolving over the years." Lee has used her Iconic Pointillism to create murals of some of Hollywood's most notable faces. From Marilyn Monroe to David Bowie in addition to cultural, intellectual and philosophical icons like the Dali Lama and Albert Einstein, she uses unique detail to create realistic art. Her work has grabbed the attention of art enthusiasts and accredited artists such as world-renowned contemporary pop artist, Bradley Theodore, who said, "Her art makes love with words.” “I love the idea of creating something with another connected thing," Lee said. "Using theories to outline horn-rimmed glasses. Song lyrics twisted and turned into locks of hair. Heart-aching poems carved into crow’s feet. Culture-defining philosophies stitched into a silk robe. Gathering these beautiful writings and celebrating them collectively with something as dynamic as the artist's portrait.” She'll be displaying her work at 212 Arts, which recently celebrated its one-year anniversary by highlighting some of the world's most talented street artists. 212 Arts is committed to the promotion of urban and street art, as well as New York culture and pop art. The event is sponsored by Fantinel Estates; it is complimentary to guests attending the exhibit.  “This is my first showing in New York City and I can think of no better place to exhibit than 212 Arts. Come and check out my work and see in person the creation of iconography with typography," Lee said. To RSVP email vic@evilgenius.nyc.    For more on Lee's work, visit kiraleeart.com.
