BA's 'Cindy Queen of Hell' Marks Big Firsts for Raven, Corvus

LOS ANGELES—Two core members of the BurningAngel Entertainment family step into previously unventured roles with the studio's big-budget fall feature Cindy Queen of Hell, set to debut exclusively at Gamelink.com September 27. Industry newcomer Leigh Raven executes her first lead acting performance in the movie's title role, and longtime BA regular Xander Corvus makes his behind-the-lens debut as co-director with studio chief Joanna Angel.  Angel and Corvus collaborated on the story of Cindy, about a young woman who discovers that her father is Satan and she is the sole heir to the Kingdom of Hell. She must decide whether to remain on Earth or take the throne as the next ruler of the Underworld. Corvus and Angel also appear in the movie as Satan and his lover. "Having Joanna and Xander play my mom and dad was so appropriate because they really helped coach me through everything," Raven said. "This was pretty much a dream movie for me, and it will be hard to top." Of her star's performance, Angel told AVN, "I knew Leigh had a natural flair for acting from the first time I shot her. She is really great at taking any scenario I give her and making it seem completely natural to her. She was definitely intimidated when I handed her 15-plus pages of dialogue to memorize, but she handled it so well. She is definitely a rising star in the industry, and a BurningAngel favorite." For his part, Corvus commented, "The fact that Joanna made it possible to direct my first movie with my friends at BurningAngel was amazing. Plus Small Hands and I got to write an original song for the movie—'Wake Up in Hell'—and perform it in front of a crowd in the movie. Hail Satan!" Cindy Queen of Hell contains five sex scenes, including an orgy, a d.p. and a threesome, and comprising the remainder of the cast are Anna Bell Peaks, Nikki Hearts, Lily Lane, Sarah Jessie, Ophelia Rain, Small Hands, Tommy Pistol, Gage Sin, Owen Gray and Chad Alva. "We are very excited to unveil BurningAngel's largest budget movie to date on Gamelink.com as an exclusive," noted Jeff Dillon, vice president of business development and marketing at Eline.com and consultant for Gamelink. Following its Gamelink premiere, Cindy Queen of Hell will roll out on BurningAngel.com October 15, and the DVD will ship to retailers from Exile Distribution beginning October 10, with an October 17 street date.
