New Wearables Provide Alternative To Traditional Vibrators, Dildos

LONDON—A recent graduate of the Royal College of Art in London has designed new erotic wearable designed to offer an alternative to traditional vibrators and dildos. "I designed this sensory collection to help women embrace their natural sexuality," designer Wan Ting Tseng told Dezeen Magazine. "If you think about the current sex toy market, it's more intense products like dildos or vibrators, which are focused on orgasm.” The collection, called Wisp, are piece of silicone jewelry and a set of circle pads that adhere to skin anywhere on the body. Tseng, an innovation design engineering graduate, said the pieces are flexible and soft and deliver sensations that mimic a pulsing “touch” or an “airy kiss,” as well as deliver perfume from a modular necklace. The wearables can be placed anywhere on a wearer’s body, meaning users can customize Wisp to their erogenous zones. The Air necklace includes and air blower and a speaker in addition to the ability to release perfume, while the Pulse bracelet lets users monitor their response to various Wisp items and send discrete messages to a partner. The Touch uses mini motors and five circular silicone pads to mimics the sensations of being touched. The Whisper piece changes temperature and blows air to duplicate the sensation of a lover’s breath. Wisp is currently on display as part of the ShowRCA 2016 graduate exhibit, of which Dezeen Magazine is a media partner.  To lean more about Wisp and designed Tseng, visit RCA.ac.uk.
