In the Cleveland metro area, the game earned a 46.3 rating. And with all those eyeballs watching LeBron James, Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving on the boob tube, it translated into a major drop in the number of eyeballs actually watching boobs. Megasite PornHub, at the request of The Daily Dot, looked at its own traffic numbers during the game, which marked King James and his crew earning the first championship for BelieveLand since Jim Brown and the 1964 Cleveland Browns. “Compared to a normal Sunday, PornHub’s traffic during the game was down -10 percent across the United Sttes, including the San Francisco Bay area,” PornHub posted on the Insights section of its site. “Cleveland’s traffic was down -20 percent for the first half of the game, but then plummeted by -47 percent towards the end. “Why such a drastic drop? Fap time clearly gave way to clap time as people all over Cleveland tuned in to see the Cavaliers snag the first pro sports championship title the city has had in 52 years,” the post continued. ”Congrats Cleveland!” Despite the major drop in viewers during the game, PornHub noted fans apparently decided to use porn to celebrate the historic win: The site’s traffic in Cleveland was up 20 percent above normal by midnight Sunday.
