E3 Show Returns to L.A.

LOS ANGELES—The latest breakthroughs in Virtual Reality, computer, video and mobile technology will again take center stage at this year’s E3 trade show, which begins next week.  The video game industry’s premier conference is returning to the Los Angeles Convention Center June 14-16 for three days of showcases designed to connect professionals in the interactive entertainment industry.  Several hundred leading-edge companies from all over the world will introduce new cutting-edge products at the conference, which will play host to manufacturers, software developers, buyers, retailers, researchers, educators, distributors, financiers and venture capitalists, among others. According to VG247.com, adult company Naughty America will be showcasing VR demos at E3 in its own booth. Naughty America is one of the adult industry’s early adopters of the technology with its site NaughtyAmericaVR.com. Advances in VR technology figure to make a big statement at the event, where companies such as Microsoft and Sony are reportedly ready to unveil new VR-driven hardware. Meanwhile, Ubisoft, the developer behind top games such as “Assassin’s Creed” and “Watch Dogs,” will be debuting two new immersive games E3, according to UploadVR.com.  E3 is owned and operated by the ESA, which serves the business and public affairs needs of the companies that publish computer and video game consoles, handheld devices, personal computers, and the Internet.  The ESA offers a range of services to interactive entertainment software publishers including a global content protection program, business and consumer research, government relations and intellectual property protection efforts.
