Report: Tera Wray Static Found Dead

LOS ANGELES—Former adult film star Tera Wray Static has died of an apparent suicide, according to a report by heavy metal news site, Blabbermouth.net. Wray was found dead Wednesday night, an associate of her late husband, Wayne Static, told the website. She was 33.  A 2008 nominee for AVN Best New Starlet, the native of Louisville, Ky., performed in more than 25 adult films between 2007-08, most of which were for the N.J.-based Pleasure Productions, which had signed her to an exclusive contract. Wray, who was born Tera Lents, graced the cover of the June 2007 AVN Fresh Issue. She paid tribute to her late husband, the popular Static-X frontman, with a sleeve tattoo in his likeness that she showed off on Facebook last summer. Wayne Static died on Nov. 1, 2014, at 48, from a mix of Xanax, prescription drugs and alcohol, according to published reports.  Wray met Static during the band's Ozzfest Summer Tour in 2007, when she was modeling for Hustler Lingerie; they were married in January 2008 and she retired from porn in August of that year. In 2009, Static-X released their sixth studio album, Cult of Static, which included two tracks inspired by her, "Tera-Fied" and "Stingwray."  Aside from her interests in music, Wray enjoyed attending the annual Kentucky Derby in her hometown and also was a competitive softball player and worked at Hooters before adult.
