AE Films Podcast Focuses on 'True Erotica' Director Holly Randall

PITTSBURGH, Pa.—Prominent glam photographer Holly Randall, who recently made her directorial debut for AE Films with True Erotica, is featured on AE's latest podcast interview, which can be found here. To promote True Erotica, AE Films is holding a contest that offers the winner a copy of the movie signed by one of its stars: newly crowned Empire Girl Dani Daniels. Randall's interview, conducted during the movie's production in March, treats fans to a behind-the-scenes account of the first day on the set of 'True Erotica, including details of performances by Daniels and Alexis Texas. The four-scene, 90-minute all-sex feature also marks the triumphant return of Texas, who shares a girl/girl encounter with all-natural Latina Jenna Sativa. Daniels gets hot with Ramon Nomar, performing by a roaring fireplace. "Alexis Texas actually hasn't been really performing at all recently—she kind of retired—but she is coming back and doing scenes for very selective people, and I was very fortunate that I'm one of the people she was willing to work with," said Randall in the interview. "I'm excited to be able to shoot Alexis again." Randall also describes her "excellent childhood" with her parents, legendary erotic photographer Suze Randall and author Humphry Knipe, and her mother's profound influence on her career. "When I first started, I was absolutely in my mother's shadow, and let's be honest, I rode in on my mom's coattails ... everything I have today is because she taught me how to do what I do," said Randall. "I was very much Suze Randall's daughter and I was proud of that and I was fine with that, but as time goes on you really try to hone your craft and create a personal style, and to constantly be compared to somebody else, it gets a little bit old." Now as a director, Randall aims to create a visual style that is uniquely hers. "I think I have come a long way ... it's funny because I don't really hear that too often now, that I'm Suze Randall's daughter ... now I'm more Holly Randall standing on her own." The other two scenes in True Erotica are a boy/girl romp by Alexa Tomas and Joel Tomas, and another boy/girl scene with Ava Dalush and Ryan Driller.
