Dave Naz's 'Identity: In & Beyond The Binary' Posted on YouTube

LOS ANGELES—Photographer Dave Naz has just completed Identity: In & Beyond the Binary, a 63 minute documentary interviewing trans, genderqueer, butch and queer people on their varied experiences with gender identity. It's a project that Naz, a long-time photographer and videographer of transgendered and other non-mainstream sexual individuals, has been working on for several years. Addressing topics from hormones to employment to growing up, Identity is a series of enlightening and heartfelt interviews. "When I started photographing the subjects for this series and hearing their stories, I knew I needed a video camera rolling," said Naz about his project. "I got that camera, and the result was an interesting and insightful glimpse into their lives."
