New Sensations’ Movie, Director Win Big At XRCO

CHATSWORTH, Calif.—New Sensations took home big honors at the recent XRCO Awards: Second Chances was named Best Release - Feature and Jacky St. James for Best Director - Features.  "I am overjoyed by the recognition XRCO has given me as a director," Jacky St. James said. "Features and scripted adult films are my greatest love. They require so much time, effort, and passion that it is especially validating to be honored for that."  Written and directed by St. James, Second Chances is New Sensations' big hit from 2014. The movie has won several awards and brought St. James even more into the spotlight. St. James is coming off her first year as a full-time director, helming a variety of acclaimed romance and dramatic features and scripted vignettes. St. James’ work has also found recognition in mainstream circles, praised for its thought-provoking and sex-positive storylines and cinematic scope. Salon.com, in February, hailed St. James as "The Woman Who Conquered Porn."  Second Chances, the romantic tale of a heartsick college coed (Carter Cruise) who finds the courage to love again and forgive the man who betrayed her trust, connected with consumers and critics alike in 2014. In addition to being named Best Release - Feature at this year's XRCO Awards, the dramedy took Best Romantic Movie and Best Actress honors at the 2015 AVN Awards. Founded in 1984, the X-Rated Critics Organization gives writers and editors from the adult entertainment industry a voice in selecting the year's best in X-rated movies.
