James Deen Lands Guest Role on Showtime's 'Happyish'

HOLLYWOOD—Reigning AVN Mainstream Star of the Year James Deen upholds the title with a guest spot he has booked on the new Showtime comedy Happyish. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Deen will play himself in an episode of the show alongside stars Steve Coogan and Bradley Whitford, and will be found dispensing advice on "how to succeed in the adult-film industry and corporate America." "I am actually excited for this," Deen told AVN. "It is a pretty interesting show. I think it will do well." Happyish premieres on Showtime April 26. Which episode will feature Deen has yet to be announced. The A-list performer and actor previously branched out into mainstream starring opposite Lindsay Lohan in Paul Schrader/Bret Easton Ellis psychodrama The Canyons.
