Tory Lane Arrested Wedesday After Altercation on Delta Flight

LOS ANGELES—Starting Wednesday evening, when the incident was first reported by local TV news, veteran adult performer Tory Lane has been the subject of several news reports as the "Woman Arrested at LAX for Assaulting Crew." The incident reportedly started on a Delta flight that runs daily between Atlanta and Los Angeles with a scheduled arrival time of 7:14 p.m., and then continued once the plane was on the ground.   Not until today, however, did anyone realize that the woman at the center of the ruckus is a very popular adult performer with more than 600 titles to her credit. According to the Los Angeles Times' coverage yesterday, "[Tory Lane], 32, was arrested Wednesday night after she assaulted crew members during a Delta Flight 17 from Atlanta to Los Angeles, Los Angeles airport police said. [Lane] was on board when she became 'belligerent' toward the airline crew, Los Angeles airport police said. She was intoxicated, they added." A Channel 5 report from LAX embedded with the Times article indicates that in addition to airport police meeting the plane to take the already restrained Lane into custody, the FBI also was on scene to determine just how threatening a situation they had on their hands. They really had no idea. The Times article continued, "Airport police and FBI investigators responded about 8:10 p.m. to Terminal 6 and detained [Lane] of Irwin, N.C., who police said was kicking and screaming. During the confrontation, police said she assaulted an officer. She was taken into custody on suspicion of the battery on a police officer and being drunk in public." TMZ posted a recent item on the story once they "found out the passenger was a multiple AVN award winner," reporting that Lane—who had to be transported from the plane strapped to a gurney on the tarmac, and into an LAFD ambulance, which took her took the hospital before she was booked at about 2am Thursday—has since been released. With no intent to lessen what is a very serious situation, we do note that Lane's most recent tweet, posted about 15 hours ago, was the somewhat prescient exclamation, "I need to get FUCKED." AVN has contacted Lane for comment and will relay a statement as soon as we receive one from either her or her attorney.
