Plus-Size Models Find Niche at Voyeur Site BBWCamhouse.com

Voyeur cams have been around since the earliest days of the Internet so it’s hardly breaking news when a new voyeur camhouse decides to set up shop. One such voyeur camhouse that is offering unique content is BBWCamhouse.com. Begun by former performer Platinum Puzzy (Kari Anthony), BBW Camhouse offers viewers a 24-hour look into the lives of BBW performers, models and camgirls, providing members with access to their most intimate moments. With the genre gaining in popularity, the timing for such an endeavor comes at an opportune time. Originally a project titled Touchy Situations, BBW Camhouse officially opened operations in Baltimore, Maryland in May 2014. With Anthony’s involvement, the project grew from a place that became more than just a stop for BBW models and performers who were in the area into a full-fledged adult entertainer resource center—a place where models and performers could come and webcam with no distractions. As Anthony describes it, BBW Camhouse evolved into a place where one can learn, network and have a good time all at the same time. One part of the success of BBW Camhouse has been its partnership with All BBW Cams, one of the most popular BBW camming sites on the web.  Having previously partnered with All BBW Cams on a number of projects—most notably BBW Fanfest 2012 and 2013—Anthony said, “It just made sense to backup the company that backs me up. I’m really good friends with the owner of All BBW Cams so I respect them. It was a natural decision.” During the latter part of 2014, including having a BBW Camhouse booth at EXXXotica New Jersey where top BBW performers such as Eliza Allure, Jade Rose, Sienna Hills, Selena White and Bella Bendz came out East to heavily promote the camhouse, the momentum has, according to Anthony, picked up and opened a lot of people’s curiosity about the camhouse. “There have been a few companies that reached out to me with interest in partnering up for different types of projects. I’m not really at liberty to disclose any of them at this time [because] it’s still not in the finalization stage just negotiations, but there are definitely big things happening for BBW Camhouse and the girls involved in 2015 for sure.” One of those goals is to expand the franchise. Plans are currently under way for a BBW Camhouse Las Vegas branch to open sometime this spring. Once the paperwork for the property is complete and all zoning laws meet the requirements that Clark County requires, the house will continue to be overseen by Anthony with day-to-day operations handled by BBW performer and Las Vegas resident Eliza Allure. “She has been an amazing protégé [and] has definitely stepped up and taken on the role of being quite the leader,” Anthony said. “Eliza will be in charge of making sure there are girls in the house and the cameras are getting the type of action and entertainment for the viewers. “As far as the Vegas house is concerned, it’s going to have a little bit of a different appeal because Vegas [receives] a lot more tourism and traffic from all over the world and more people visit Vegas than Baltimore. So there’s going to be a few unique things that the Vegas house will offer that typically don’t really relate to the Baltimore house such as a couples package and special visitations. It’s going to be a full-on interactive experience and a great time.”  “I’m really pleased Platinum trusts me,” said Allure, a 2015 nominee for BBW Performer of the Year. “We’re working on a lot of things in order to get the camhouse together for Vegas. We have so many girls who are supporting it and are constantly asking me when it’s going to be up. Everyone wants to stay and visit, shoot and party. It’s just going to be a lot of fun. Our goal is to make it a really great safe environment for the girls and for the members to enjoy us during those intimate moments.” While membership prices are set at a reasonable rate starting with a three-day trial at $3.99 for access to all 20 cameras (including 6 free cameras for those who just want to explore the house), $9.95 for 10-day access and $24.95 for 90 days, with the Vegas camhouse Anthony concedes it’s likely the camhouse will have to increase its rate but still try to remain reasonable. But with the increase in membership rates comes the addition of 20 more cameras (20 in Baltimore, 20 in Las Vegas) and to accommodate the type of features the camhouse has been providing since its onset.  “The memberships help keep it going,” insists Anthony. “Instead of asking the girls to pay to be here, with them being the entertainment by just being here, the members subscribe to watch you take a shower, watch you sleep or watch you masturbate late at night ... that subscriber is contributing toward the expenses of the house and makes it possible for us to do this. Here, the idea is to try to offer as many things as we possibly can [for the models] at no charge and take the content that we create at the house to help generate the money for maybe someone’s travel expenses or, maybe, if you wanted to shoot a DVD while you’re here we can pay for hair and makeup or a photographer or videographer. We try to use the money that we make from anything developed at the house to help pay for other things at the house.” Anthony’s reputation as an advocate for plus-size adult performers helped make Baltimore a required stop for BBWs on their trips to the East Coast. “There was a time I had to ask; now it’s ‘I don’t know if I have room for you,’” Anthony said. “I didn’t want to leave,” Allure recalled about her visit at the camhouse back in November. “I really liked the experience; it was great.” “I have been to the BBW Camhouse three different times now,” said award-winning performer Sienna Hills, “for about a little over three months total living there. I have had so many great experiences.” “My time at the camhouse was great,” said Bella Bendz, another 2015 nominee for BBW Performer of the Year, who believes there is a market for this kind of content. “I really think there is a market. The other BBWs will see how much fun the girls at the camhouse are having while making money and want to join in.” Jade Rose, a recent visitor to the BBW Camhouse, said that in addition to having a positive experience during her time at the camhouse she believes Anthony runs the business like a well-oiled machine. “She’s obviously a very hard worker and doing a great job.” Rose also believes that there is not only a market interested in seeing BBWs in this way but that this voyeuristic project will appeal to BBW performers. “The support and foundation is backed by established, hard-working women,” says Rose. Ultimately, BBW Camhouse is a step in the right direction to changing the industry’s perception of BBWs. “It’s a unique product that can’t be duplicated,” Anthony said. “It’s not something you’re going to find on a tube site. So I’m proud to be a part of the first-ever BBW voyeurism project and for it to be taking off so quickly, and doing so well contrary to popular belief. A lot of people don’t think this is going to make it, they don’t think there’s any money in it.
