Kianna Bradley Returns To The XXX Family

LOS ANGELES—Kianna Bradley had a longer-than-usual life in the adult entertainment industry, beginning with a turn in front of Randy West's camera for Up and Cummers 32 in 1996, and tapering off with just two releases in 2002—but now she's back, and ready for action once again. "Well, I don't know if you could say it's a midlife crisis or not," she replied when asked what brought her back to Porn Valley. "No, I really missed the industry and I've missed my fans and I've missed my friends. It was a really tight group, it really was, back then. I understand it's changed a lot and a lot of people aren't in the industry anymore, but it's okay." Among her missing friends from Back In The Day, she said, are Phyllisha Anne, Chris Cannon, Mia Smiles, Alec Metro and Alex Sanders—and she still has a sort of love affair with Metro Studios, with whom she was contracted for a part of her career. But it didn't last, and she eventually went home to Alabama to be a mom. "When I left, I was kind of a train wreck at that moment, and it was good for me to leave at that time, because I wasn't doing so well," she admitted. "I was young, and I was from Alabama, and I came here and I just kind of went crazy: 'I'm in L.A.! Oh my gosh! What an idea!' While I was contracted with Metro, their publicist got me gigs working for Kid Rock; loved that. I did a few of his videos— the Cowboy video; you know, 'I'm a cowboy, baby...'—with Houston, Ron Jeremy and a few other adult stars, and I did the MTV Movie Awards with Kid and Tina Cherry; lots and lots of fun. I had a lot of fun working for him, and they had me involved in a lot of things, which was absolutely wonderful. "But I've done a lot of growing and thinking since then," she was quick to add, "and the industry's changed a lot, the way things are being done and the scenes, and it's kind of sad, because it was a lot of fun back then." Among her favorite movies from her earlier career are Addiction and Babes Illustrated 9, both directed by Quasarman, now better known as Mike Quasar; Suite Dreams, directed by Michael Zen; and Babewatch 9 and 10, both directed by Alec Metro. "I love Quasarman and [producer Michael] Adams; those were my guys," she stated. "We did a lot of work together, and it was always fun working with them. They were easy to work with, and I think I was easy to shoot for them. At that time, I was very bratty, I think. I'm still somewhat bratty, I guess, but I've always thought I've not been hard to shoot, though; I pretty much get along with everyone." And does she prefer storyline features, or just the good old wham-bam? "I love dialog," she replied. "I love to act. I'm very, very good at it. As far as sex scenes, I'm excellent at that." Kianna also got slightly involved in the dust-up over Rough Sex 2, the second volume of the then-controversial movie directed by Khan Tusion. "I was on the cover of Number 2," she noted. "That was a big to-do, and some people said, 'Kianna Bradley should be on the women's liberation site; she's the perfect poster child.' I was like, 'That's not nice.' But I did that just because somebody said I couldn't, and I was like, 'I'm going to prove to you that I can.' And I didn't have any problems with doing it; I really didn't. It was very safe. They warned me way ahead of time what was going to happen. If I was uncomfortable with anything, it was stopped right away, so..." Besides "mom duties," Kianna spent part of her 12-year hiatus working for the County Animal Control Department back in Alabama—and caring for her two pet pit bulls, among other things. "The pit bulls are my babies," she blushed. "I love animals. I'm really into pit bull rescue things. I also do a lot of dancing. I have a home club, The Pony, in Huntsville, Alabama, and when I'm not traveling or doing other things, or shooting or modeling or stuff, that's where I would go to relax. I know people say, 'Working is relaxing?' To me, it is, because I love all the girls there and I love that club." Now that she's back, Kianna has adopted Michael David Stewart (better known to the industry as scripter Fozzie) of MDS Management as her agent, and while she's already visited a few companies like New Sensations and Wicked looking for work, she's got high hopes of making a success of porn performing this time around. "I have confidence, and I am just a little firecracker," she selfied. "I'm not gonna take no for an answer; I'm just not." What won't she do? "I still limit myself," she admitted. "I've only done two anal scenes in my whole life, so that's going to take some persuading, I think. On the other hand, I love girls!" Kianna also wants to get back to doing magazine layouts. "That was my love, was modeling, shooting," she said. "I've done a few shoots recently that have turned out really, really good. They haven't been printed; they were more for promo, but Rick Pruitt, he's in Alabama, and he's very simple but extraordinary, and when I say extraordinary, I mean extraordinary. The man is magic with a camera; he truly is. "Back in the day, I think I was the number one published magazine model in the nation in '99," she added. "I was doing back to back to back to back to back. You could see me every month in a magazine, every single month. Hank Londoner shot me a lot, and Ken Tera, I did a lot for Swank, High Society, Club, Club International, the Asian magazines, all kinds. I was published constantly. Up until a few years ago, I think I was still published. I was still seeing my stuff, and going, 'I was so young?!'" Kianna's new website is in the process of being built, but until it's ready, old and new fans can find her on Twitter and on Facebook here and here. Oh; and if Digital Playground and Adam & Eve decide to do another volume of their Pirates series, she'd love to be in it.
