ASACP Set to Attend Qwebec Expo Next Week

LOS ANGELES—The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) is once again returning to the Qwebec Expo, slated for August 14-17 at the Marriott Chateau Champlain in Montreal. An industry trade show and technical conference serving existing and prospective online adult entertainment professionals, Qwebec Expo is an annual event where U.S., Canadian and European members of the adult industry gather together to network and to learn about the market’s latest technologies, products and services. Qwebec Expo is providing ASACP with flyers in the event’s gift bags, plus a booth on the show floor where informational materials will be available, as well as an ad in the event’s show guide. “Qwebec Expo is honored to support ASACP and RTA again this year by giving them as much exposure as possible,” event organizer Michael Plante stated. “Tim and his team are doing a tremendous job of helping mainstream audiences understand that the legitimate adult industry community has no links to CP, and is fighting this heinous crime against children.” ASACP Executive Director Tim Henning will attend the gathering as part of the association’s commitment to industry outreach, educating businesses about the vital need to protect children online, while protecting themselves. Free ASACP services such as the Restricted To Adults (RTA) website meta-label, industry market segmented Best Practices and a Code of Ethics can all help companies in this endeavor. “The Qwebec Expo is an important event for ASACP, with a global audience that includes many Canadian companies, which are on the forefront of adult entertainment,” Henning said. “Reaching these stakeholders is a vital step in the association’s international outreach efforts.” Reprising last year’s role, Henning will moderate the exclusive “New Bees Workshop,” where new and prospective adult industry entrants learn how to responsibly start a business, and how to make the most of the industry’s available resources. “Moderating last year’s ‘New Bees Workshop’ was a valuable experience benefiting ASACP, and its mission of keeping children out of and away from adult entertainment,” Henning adds. “This opportunity allows us to promote corporate and social responsibility to the companies that are in a position to make a difference in online safety, helping to stop potential problems before they begin, while getting companies started on the right foot.” Henning will also join adult entertainment moguls for the 7th Annual Qwebec Masters Golf Tournament, at Golf des Iles—part of ASACP's efforst to foster better understanding between the association and the companies which it empowers, and which provide its funding. “Qwebec Expo is a stalwart supporter of ASACP whose generosity is always appreciated,” Henning stated. “Funded by industry sponsorships and member support, ASACP is able to carry on its mission—and its message—to meaningful stakeholders that need to hear it.” For more information, or to schedule a meeting with Henning, email tim@asacp.org.
